Breaking onto the music scene with her debut release, Dusty Boots, (release December 2008) Monica Hope's mission is in keeping with her name. "My goal is to inspire hope and peace through sharing an intimate piece of myself to those who listen to my music." Growing up in a small town in Washington State, where community and personal connections are integral, this comes through in the music she writes.
Monica began singing and performing early on, with her first solo performance at the age of eight. "Music has always been an important aspect in my life, during times I wasn't actively playing guitar or singing I felt as if something was missing". Harmony and depth are key elements to Monica's songs. Her powerful voice is often likened to that of the Cowboy Junkies, Indigo Girls and Liz Phair. Her folk tunes represent her down home roots and her sense of spirit formed in the woods of the Pacific Northwest.
She continues to record and expand her musical horizons letting love be the guide to her songs and faith being her guide along her journey. Monica can currently be found traveling and playing various venues around the US.
