Monica's Interests
General
All of these pictures pretty much sums up my interests. I love listening to music, watching movies (esp. with Alan Rickman), I loved my job as an RN, I find it very rewarding. And when I have the money, I love shopping.
Music
I love all kinds of music. I like the kind that makes you want to dance as well as the kind that makes you listen to the words and think. If I'm in my car,I listen to the Bobby Bones show on 96.7 KISS FM and the rest of the day I surf the radio or listen to a CD. I enjoy Regeaton (Zion and Lennox, Daddy Yankee and Don Omar), Texas, System of a Down, RBD, La 5a Estacion, Aqualung, Rascal Flats, Sin Bandera, Blue October, Cher and alot more.

I like all kinds of movies with the exception of scary movies, I tend to shy away from these. I like suspence, drama, romance and comedy. One of my all time favorites is DOGMA -Loved it! I also like Alan Rickman movies. I've seen almost all of his movies except the ones that haven't been released yet like The Search for John Gissing.

Dr. Hellerstedt, without whom I would not be here today. When all the other doctors were telling my family that I was going to die this last year, she wouldn't give up on me. And for that I will be eternally grateful.
About me:
I have lived in the Bertram/Burnet area all of my life. With the exception of the occasional vacation, I have been stuck here, and will probably be here for a long, long time. I do get to get out occasionally. I went off to college, and graduated with Nursing Honors. I am now working at Seton Medical Center (Voted one of the best places in Austin to work.) Right now I live with my mom whom I take care of, she has been ill for a while now, and my brother who is 16. Read my blog for updates on me.

I would like to meet new interesting people. I want to meet up with old friends and find some new ones. I would like to meet (although all are highly unlikely) Florence Nightingale, Mother Teresa, my Granny(Nene), and my Grandma de Mexico (Nana). I want find funny, intelegent people out here to have stimulating conversations with. I want to find someone who can play six degrees of separation. Oh, and I wouldn't mind meeting Alan Rickman (sigh).
HELLO! I heard a joke the other evening at one of those boring parties I have to go to, and I hope making you laugh will make up for my being gone this week!
A nursery school teacher was delivering a carload of children home one day when a fire truck zoomed past. Sitting in the front seat of the fire truck was a Dalmatian dog.
The children started to discuss the dog's duties.
"They use him to keep crowds back," said one youngster.
"No," said another, "he's just for good luck."
Then a third child brought the argument to a close..."They use the dog to find the fire hydrants."
There, now I hope you are no longer pissed at me for being remiss in my correspondence...because you must remember, I can piss back. PMSL Oh, see, there, I just did it.
