well of course my influences are what I experiences day by day and my daily mood. but musicallywise... I am a big soul and funk fan. so my influences in this kind of music are: prince! I think he is the best musician alive. don't like the works of him when he was tafkap or symbol . still think " sign of the times is his best work) sheila e. ; a beautiful girl who hits the drums like a man!, mandrill, curtis mayfield, roy ayers, temptations... there are so many....; beside that I love Hip hop too; dr.dre, missy elliot, de la soul... electronica: omd, eurythmics, einstürzende neubauten, and than techno began..... my first techno / house records I bought were from robert owens, larry heard, dj pierre, aphex twin...from the harder edge my heros were: jeff mills, robert hood, underground resitance, carl craig. besides that I really love kate bush, talk talk, peter gabriel, the police, the cure.... and: there are so many records and artist I love it would take me days to fullfill...so you just have a quick overview about some of my favourites.

Monika Kruse is cooking dancefloors from Chicago to Berlin and Tokyo since 16 years. Beside her DJ acitivities the native Berliner follows her own idea of Techno Funk as producer, party host and label impressario. "Music just makes me happy," Monika Kruse explains her energy level.
Monika Kruse plays an acitive part in german club culture since 1991, starting as resident in the Munich based Parkcafé and as memeber of the Ultraschall Crew. Since the mid 90ies she..s also part of the international DJ circus.
In the meantime Monika Kruse moved back to Berlin and her skills on the wheels of steal are continuous popular in clubs and on raves around the globe: As resident in the belgian Fuseclub, ambassodor of german dance culture for the Goethe-Institut, on illegal parties or the biggest japanese rave Wire.
In 1995 Monika Kruse started producing her own tracks, and since then she..s constantly releasing her very own works, like the summer hit 2000 "Latin Lovers", remixes and cooperations. Monika Kruse is running two labels: Terminal M since 2000 [DJ Rush, Miss Kittin, Patrick Lindsey to mention a few] and Electric Avenue Recordings since 2003 [Tobi Neumann, Martini Brös, Liebe Ist Cool and more].
Being a DJ allways meant to host own parties to Monika Kruse, starting in Munich with events in Utraschall, tramways or military exercise areas. These days she..s running the Electric Avenue Nights in various Clubs in Berlin.
Techno and the club scene is more than pure hedonism to Monika Kruse: With her project "No Historical Backspin" she combines her passion for music with a straight statement against racism and intolerance.

He Monika ihre Aktion " No Historiak Backspin" finde ich klasse. Gewalt unter Menschen ist abartig, egal welche Hautfarbe oder Einstellung sie auch sind. Frieden und Guten Sound das sollte es immer geben.
