About me: "Oh, the media monkeys and the junket junkies will invite you to the plastic pantomime. Throw their invites away." ~Ziggy Stardust Bowie
"I love to drink, get drunk, start fights with parking meters and topiary and pretend that they are cops
while screaming “I know karate and I’ve got a helicopter made out of cocaine!” at the top of my lungs
for no reason. You know, general belligerent-but-for-the-most-part-harmless drunken party antics. It’s what I do and it’s what I’m good at."
~Dan Bialek
Yup. That's exactly how I would describe myself. It's like looking into a mirror Dan!
Who I'd like to meet: My entire FA posse together in one place. It IS possible, Doug!
Flight of the Conchords like to rock the party. Which is why we attend them.
Oh wow! Your toy IS very exciting! Congratulations, and I don't think you'll be needing skype, the technology in your new computer includes teletransportation. (Just punch in the name and hit 'send'.) ; )
I saw the photobooth features in the new imac recently.... *drool*
Let me know how you get on with it, I've been considering upgrading.
My notebook is so loved, but it's beginning to show the signs of being over-hugged.
I'm giggling over your decision to rebel and wear lavender, but also see where you're coming from. Your sentiment is beautiful, Moni, "to celebrate a bright shining life", and I couldn't agree with you more.
Interestingly, lavender, up to purple, is considered the colour of spirit and transformation. It's healing, encourages spiritual insights and soothes mental and emotional stress; a colour of meditation and compassion.
You've got wonderfully strong intuition, Moni, if the lavender dress calls you on Friday, it's not much about rebellion as it is following your heart and spirit.
I'm also relieved to read you're breathing better. Phew! But still, no mowing the lawn, ok?
Okaaaay, I came on here to wish you a happy thanksgiving.
But, save for Monkey's celebrations, I've noticed a distinct lackage of turkeys on here spaces. Something is amiss in Thankland.
So, I searched my memory (google) and saw that there are in fact TWO different Thanksgiving dates, this week for the Canadians, next month for Americans.
Seriously, you guys are acting more and more like Australians and New Zealanders.
Happy Thanksgiving for next month, sweets!
Wait a minute... aren't you hosting the dinner at yours this year?
If my memory (non google) serves me well, there was some chat last year about
Am waiting to be picked up to go to a dinner party at Dad's .
He says I'm invited, but I think he just likes to take advantage of the fact that I circulate between guests every 10-15 minutes to
1. make small chit chat
2. make sure they're hydrated
3. they've got enough nibblies.
What he doesn't know is:
1. 10-15 minute is a good conversational limit for me when i don't really feel like chatting.
2. getting drinks is a good excuse to move away from the chatter (and most times, to go to the kitchen and sample the dinner, fold up shopping bags, or rearrange the pantry. The stuff that takes concentration.)
3. Salty nibblies ensures point two.
Win win.
Hope you're having a fabulously wordy weekend!
Thanks for the giggles.

PS Yes. Put me in front of 'unimportant' and just watch me go.
I told you he was hot! Hehe! That's hilarious, Monica! His voice and...well, the rest of him are completely irresistable!!! How have you been, girl?? Same old stuff? I know Stan tried to get us all together a little while ago. I felt really bad I couldn't make it. Let me know how you're doing, k?
