About me:

I, the Eleven, am from over the hill where the hunter waits under wood, buried under wood. I am she who drowns and plunges to her death only to breathe and carry her heart upon her forehead. I am the earthquake brother. I am the traveller of high roads, the island hopper, the mountain hugger. I walk forever through the eyes that watch from white faces. I catch rain and swim with the seals and turtles. I tread with ease on a red road amongst giants. I am the destroyer and the life bringer. I am the comforter and I am the salt. I am in every country around the world and nowhere at all. I am the scientist who believes in the Fey Folk. I am the rolling stone that grows moss. I am the singer who loses all her songs, the musician who plays every instrument at least once, the artist who paints stories that the storyteller draws in the sand, that the wind blows away to another land in another time. Hello, I was living in the Great Northwest for 20 years and have recently moved back to the east coast. It is like another country for me and I am able to appreciate its beauty as if I have new eyes. I have traveled to about 11 different countries when I was younger and so I feel a real connection with the outside world. As an artist and somewhat mystical person, I feel a connection with the universe which I view as a whole, all interconnected and mysterious. I'm not very scientific but I love the science anyway...things like physics and astronomy. I tend to have the optimistic perspective about life and it even comes thru in what I enjoy about science. My son is very scientific and I learn a lot from him. I think biology is extremely spiritual because it points out the ways life is a flowing process in which even the tiniest things are significant and the things that seem so vast and out of our scope of understanding is still part of each of us. Things like the miracles of our voices, fingerprints and retinas fascinate me. That there is none in history to share those three aspects of ourselves, that we are unique. And I love it that we are made from "stardust"...but all that I say is really the creative or imaginative side of science...what an artist would think about... I am a vegetarian for reasons of compassion and environment. This does not mean I think I am better than anyone or even perfect. I just do not eat any meat... .. .. .. ..
