About me: My names Danny and watching the show Monkey Business which brought Monkey World (situated in Wareham, Dorset UK) onto television screens has propelled me into having a great passion for primates, so much so that I will be taking part in conservation activities all over the world as a volunteer to help save these fantastic creatures.
This site is dedicated to Jim Cronin for his remarkable work aswell as his wife Alison and all the people in the Monkey World organisation.
This page is also to help raise awareness of the illegal primate smuggling trade in which primates are removed from their habitats and sold on as pets, entertainments in the tourist industry or used in unlicensed floating zoos. this exploitation of the animals leads to them being kept in atrocious conditions where they have no contact with their own kind are malnourished, physically abused leaving them with physical and mental injuries leading to pychosis and death.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jim and Alison worked tirelessly to save primates from ill treatment and give them a home in the english countryside with plenty of monkey friends to frolic with, plenty of open space to explore and play in and all the love and affection possible so that they could forget their past hells and live out their lives as happy as they possibly can in captivity.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jim and Alison worked and Alison still does with governments all over the world to help halt the illegal smuggling of primates, they are experts in the rescue and rehabilitation of primates and in the enforcement of treaties to help protect primates from illegal trade and experimentation.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
