Originally based on a dare, Monkey Wrench formed as a rock band playing covers that only we knew and liked. Often referred to as "those guys", we spent that first year honing our skills at some of LaCrosse’s most influential house parties, pole barns, basements, bomb shelters & loading docks. After a few years of experimenting with different formats, changing members, and buying lots of equipment, we decided it was time to expand to audiences outside of our family and friends.
Monkey Wrench has long since been known as a band that is fun to see, can throw down on stage, and doesn’t take themselves too serious. Our objective for each show is to entertain and melt faces. We truly appreciate all the support that we’ve received through the years – thank you!

Hello Monkey Wrench, The elves that play in the toasters wash their drum sticks in honey and sing strikingly colored anthems in perfect harmonious pleasure. Your sweet voice is like the application of aloe vera upon a sunburnt back. What wonderful vibrations you are capable of. Blinking reveals the true visage of beauty hidden within your eyes. I desire to see life through your hallucinations so that they massage my viscera into an eternal state of turgid flux. I relentlessly desire cotton candy lollipops. Your reflections bring happiness that rends naked glass. You are dressed with filaments and people take pains to make you fully incandescent this evening. You turn the atmosphere ablaze with currents of sweet ethylene when you smile. If I could have just one wish, it would be to wake up to your songs in the morning. Your beauty is multiplexed in contemplation of your multidimensional effervescence. Entranced by the sweet harmony of your lips, I gaze beyond reason to find the oasis of your brilliant soul.
