What is MC7C?
MC7C is an online project run k@t Marsh started in 2006 by the lack of communication between artists / promoters / venues / fans.
What does MC7C do?
I interview local artists & feature them,, have an accurate listing of local artists, offer support for promoting events & shows, and connect artists to fans.
What MC7C doesn't do?
I don't get paid for what I do. I do MC7C in my free time and under our my accord & guidelines.
If you'd like to book a show at one of the clubs or venues, I do not BOOK shows. (If you want to offer me a LARGE SUM OF MONEY for booking a show for you, I might consider it)
Do you have a suggestion or comment?
Feel free to send us a message if you know of a band / artist / or person you think we should feature. We're open to featuring all sorts of forms of expression. If you don't like what MC7C is doing, we encourage you to start your own project and take where we may leave off. We do this for FREE and despite the economic hardships and issues, we are still going strong and helping the community. If you think you can do better, go for it! We'd love to see others contribute to our community!
Our Goals and Beliefs:
This is the first step towards the reconstruction of the local art scene.
In the spirit of Ver Sacrum and the Association of Austrian Artists from the early 1800's, our goals are similar:
To promote artistic interests, especially the raising of artistic sensitivity in Virginia
Aim to acheive this by uniting local artists both in Virginia and abroad
By seeking fruitful contacts with leading artists
Promoting local art at exhibitions locally
Making use of the most significant artistic achievements of the SEVEN cities both to stimulate art in our own area and to educate the local public with regard to the general development of art

Renewal Juried Art Show
Location: The Warehouse, Norfolk Virginia
Date- March 21 2008
Participants: Over 50 local artists submitted their artwork under the Renewal theme. They were judged by their validity to the theme and awarded for their efforts.
Music- MC7C's k@t and Gabe (DJ Who?) provided the music and hosted the art show.

Vital Dance Night

Pigment of Your Imagination Art Show
Location: Walls Fine Art Gallery, Norfolk Va
Date: Feb 21 2009
Theme: Circus / Alice in Wonderland
About: Fourteen local artists came together to showcase their work, as well as, help raise donations for Edmarc Hospice for Children. A variety of sponsors donated money or gift certificates in order to help sick children & their families. Together we raised $3000!!!!
