Steeped in rock anthems and ballads, the music of MONOCHROME is one that has captured the attention of music fans with its melodious tunes, thunderous rhythms, surging riffs and conscience-invading hooks and choruses. From its epic soundscapes and incendiary live shows, the band has received many positive comments and feedback from music producers, artistes, peers, and the common folk alike.
Not a band to be daunted by convention or the majority, MONOCHROME injects its bona fide love for music and Alternative Rock into The Monochrome Music Mantra and has garnered many fans from both the preponderance of the English-listening crowd, as well as the Chinese-listening coterie in Singapore, Malaysia, and even Indonesia.
More often than not, music is separated very distinctly between languages, with each camp upholding its own sense of fashion, persona, characteristics and beliefs. Bolstered by creative freedom and a collective aim of wanting to push the limits of the band, MONOCHROME sets out to be the frontrunners of Bilingual Alternative Rock by engaging the soul of the audience, and placing the genre in good standing within the industry, with their unique compositions.
From a sonic standpoint, the band’s refusal to be marginalised as just another rock band is evident from its efforts in bilingualism and willingness to experiment with different things, yet maintaining a distinct sound that remains perceivable and familiar. Striking a balance between the placid and the really heavy and acerbic, MONOCHROME’s signature style of music is one that not only aims to be put on repeat, but also one that strives to invoke an emotion out of every listener.
