In the beginning of the ‘90s, ‘113+’ is the only club where the newly born Rock Culture of Bulgaria is encouraged to flourish creating a following from many rock fans hungry for original music. MONOLITH’s stage antics drew frequent admiration, and this would contribute to the live debut of ‘ONE MORE CHANCE’ (MONOLITH Debut Album 1992) premiered at ‘113+’. This in turn exited local press, leading to positive press reviews, often highly optimistic in contrast to the unsteady political scene in the country, and drawing an even greater increase in the bands fanbase.
1993 would be a very successful year for the talented quartet. In the fall of the same year ‘EZI-TURA’ /HEADS-TAILS/, MONOLITH’s second LP is released. The single ‘ZDRAVEY’ /HELLO/ is a radio DJ favorite and would score the guys their first hit. An undoubted achievement is ‘ZDRAVEY’’s second place in top10 music television chart ‘Unison’. Parallel to ‘ZDRAVEY’’s popularity Sofia Music Enterprises invites MONOLITH as a supporting act to ALVIN LEE BAND’s show (legendary guitarist of TEN YEARS AFTER).
In 1994 the band is nominated in two categories for ‘Rhythm’ Magazine’s annual awards – ‘Best Rock Male’ and ‘Best Album’. With album number 3 ‘MONOLITH 3’, the boys confirm their place as a popular formation with a unique sound and unchallenged professionalism.
‘NAZADVANE’ storms to the top of radio ‘Tangra’’s charts in 1996, holding on to the number 1 spot for no less than eight consecutive weeks, setting a precedent in Bulgarian free radio history. Further success comes with a great run by single ‘NEONOVI LITSA’ /NEON FACES/. MONOLITH back up their high rise airwave grades with memorable live shows and club gigs.
In 1997 MONOLITH release album four ‘SISYPHUS’, which saturate their passion for serious music, probably contributing for its lowered mainstream success. ‘ILLUSION’ shines with its trademark MONOLITH sound.
The band takes 1998 off to regenerate direction and creative drive.
In 1999 Sofia Music Enterprises again invites the band to support, this time legendary BLUES BROTHERS BAND at the "Rothmans Blues" festival. ‘DR. ROCK 'N' ROLL’ MONOLITH’s fifth album is released in November of the same year. Pilot single ‘IGRA’ /GAME/ again takes over top spots all over local charts and fans raid music shops for the priceless CD. ‘DR. ROCK 'N' ROLL’ signals the end of the MONOLITH’s creative path, putting an end to one of Bulgaria’s most loved and most popular Rock Bands.
MONOLITH welcomes the new millenium with the inclusion of ‘ZDRAVEY’ in Tangra Radio’s top 100 for 20 Century. This also marks a change to the bands lineup, as Georgi Markov Jr. takes over the drum kit. Resulting in a very fruitful and exciting period and the recording of MONOLITH'S comeback sixth album ‘VREMENA I NRAVI’ /TIMES AND CHARACTERS/, featuring modern sound and a new creative direction.
In 2003 the band supported JOE LYNN TURNER(ex- RAINBOW vocalist)at Hristo Botev hall.It was one of the greatest Monolith's gigs.
MONOLITH has always remained an advocate and participant in Humanitarian and Charity events.
The band has just completed their hotly anticipated seventh studio album ‘VACATION IN VEGAS’!

H. Jackson Brown: Good character is more to be praised than outstanding talent. Most talents are, to some extent, a gift. Good character, by contrast, is not given to us. We have to build it, piece by piece -- by thought, choice, courage, and determination.
