Movies
The monorail film club will run once a month in the GFT cinema in Rose Street, Glasgow. It was launched with Godard's Masculin Feminin, introduced by Stephen Pastel. We are also supplying music for the GFT Cinema cafe. Most of the Monorail staff are keen cinephiles and the GFT has always been the best place to see this kind of interesting stuff. We would encourage our customers to drop by whenever they're in the area. www.gft.org.uk

monorail music is a proudly independent record shop, found inside a vegan cafe / bar named Mono. It first opened it's doors to a musically-deprived Glaswegian public in 2002 with the aim to support sounds that deserve to be heard and may be difficult to find elsewhere. We feel anyone passionate about music will find something of interest amongst our varied wares. Vinyl enthusiasts are particularly well catered for. We've also paid host to many in-store performances from such luminaries as Chris Corsano / Paul Flaherty Duo, Colleen, Jad Fair, Teenage Fanclub, Amina, William Elliot Whitmore and Jack Rose. Our website is currently under constuction. Please keep checking: www.monorailmusic.com.
We ask you appreciate monorail is a small business run by very few staff, therefor there simply isn't the time to promise an answer all the messages sent to monorail via MySpace. Sorry x
Who I'd like to meet: All those in the pursuit of aural atonement.
Available from MONORAIL: Perhaps the rarest precious gem from MOONDOG's treasure chest of sonic delights 'Tell It Again' is released now on POPPYDISC. This 1957 lost classic album features an unlikely but wonderful collaboration with the legendary Julie Andrews. The album's reissue was supervised by Moondog fanatic Duglas T Stewart and sound reproduction has been lovingly remastered by Norman Blake. The album is available on both vinyl and c.d. formats.
