| About Monroe Entertainment Records Group-M.E.R.G. |
The mission of Monroe Entertainment Records Group is simple: Promoting music that makes a healthy contribution to the human spirit.
The prolific history of Monroe Entertainment Records Group goes back to 1973 when a youthful Gary Monroe began working with two cast members of the legendary hit television show Happy Days. His services included assisting them with live appearances, thus granting him first-hand experience with booking agents, PR, stage and equipment requirements, backup musical support talent, onsite merchandising and performance staging.
With solid experience under his belt, Monroe formed American Music & Entertainment with a focus on artist management in the music industry. During the next 17 years AME managed an excess of twelve marquee-name bands on an international basis, utilizing offices in Los Angeles, Dallas, New York City and London. In addition to aiding established acts, AME took pleasure in working with up-and-coming entertainers, taking them to the UK to develop their audience and then breaking them in the US market. AME also worked with names in the field of comedy and produced stadium events.
In 1994 Gary sold American Music & Entertainment and formed The Monroe Entertainment Group, a management consultant company. Most of the focus was to assist managers with up-and-coming bands ultimately extending their reach in the music industry. Today Monroe Entertainment Records Group, Inc. is a division of A.S.W. Music & Filmworks, Inc. a multifaceted entertainment corporation with interest in recorded music, music publishing, booking, music licensing, and merchandising.
Music is the international language that crosses all barriers in society and the world. While that may sound idealistic and naive in this complicated world, we believe in great music and acknowledge the power of music to touch people’s lives.
