Monroe Golden is a composer from rural Alabama whose works often explore microtonal systems. Critics have called his music "delightfully disorienting" and "lovely, sumptuous, yet arcane." Golden has actively encouraged and promoted the innovative arts in his community, where he has presided over several arts organizations and directed festivals and performance series. He graduated from the University of Montevallo and earned a doctorate in Music Composition from the University of Illinois. His first CD, A Still Subtler Spirit, is published by Living Artist Recordings. Alabama Places, a set of duets for piano and microtonal synthesizer, is scheduled for release by innova Recordings in 2007.
Abstractive Noise "Mind Corrupter" EP net-release (cc) [IAd001]
Abstractive Noise, an experimental / music project of Panagiotis Pagonis, offers Impulsive Art the debut release of the new creative common net-releases [IAd001] series.
Experimenting with algorithmic composition and mathematic probabilities, Mind Corrupter build up an extraordinary glitchy, "random", bizarre, broken rhythmical complexity.
Dear Monroe, I am very glad about your add - thanks. Your microtonality music is very interesting! Thanks for let me hear and your introducing... All my best from Hamburg / Germany
Nice pieces, they all made for some really great listening. Great work on the microtonal stuff also. Thanks for checking out my work and the add. I'll be sure to look for any perfomances if I'm ever down your way.
Hey Monroe! So nice to meet you on the web! We still think back with a big smile to our wonderful time in Birmingham with you and William. Hope you're doing allright there. Let's keep in touch! Many greetings from Peter & Thelema Trio...
