APPEL A CONTRIBUTIONS / CALL FOR CONTRIBUTION
Nous commençons à préparer la deuxième compilation thématique de MonsterK7. Celle-ci sera consacré au circuit bending (circuitage en français), soit la création de sons modifiés à partir de la modification des circuits électroniques de jouets et autres objets. Nous favoriserons les morceaux inédits. Nous préférons aussi des morceaux contruits autour d'un objet circuit-bendé qu'un morceau avec uniquement du circuit-bening. Si vous souhaitez participer, envoyez-nous un morceau en mp3 par mail accompagné d'une photo du ou des objets circuit bendés à monsterk7 (at)) hotmail.fr.

We begin to prepare MonsterK7’s thematic second mixtape. It will be dedicated to circuit-bending (creative short-circuiting of electronic audio devices such as phones or children's toys to create new musical instruments). We would prefer unreleased tracks and songs composed with a part of circuit bending but not only circuit bending. All the artists who are interested can send us a track (good quality mp3s) and a photo of the circuit-bended object(s) to monsterk7 ((at)) hotmail.fr.

MonsterK7 est un petit label indépendant amoureux des beaux objets musicaux. Son but premier : réhabiliter la K7 audio, support phonographique sacrifié sur l'autel de la modernité au profit du bientôt défunt Compact Disc. Introduite dans les bacs en 1963 et éclipsée par le CD dès 1982, elle n'aura donc eu qu'une grosse vingtaine d'années de gloire. Et pourtant, nous avons tous une pensée émue pour ces chères compilations enregistrées ado sur cassette audio.
ALORS REHABILITONS LA CASSETTE AUDIO
ET REDONNONS LUI LA PLACE QU'ELLE MERITE
DANS L'INDUSTRIE MUSICALE ACTUELLE.
Une place marginale certes, mais mérite-t-elle vraiment plus?
Par ailleurs, MonsterK7 participera à la sortie d'objets musicaux originaux, sur format cassette audio mais pas que, enregistrés et packagés à la main loin des chaînes de fabrication standardisées et sortis en tirage (très) limité.

MonsterK7 is a little indie label fond of beautiful musical objects. His first aim is to restore into favor the audio tape, this phonographic medium sacrified on the altar of modernity and supplanted by the almost dead Compact disc. In stores since 1963 and overshadowed by the CD in 1982, the audio tape will only benefit from twenty years of glory. And yet, even today, we all have a moved thought to those dear compilations we used to record on audio tape when we were teenagers.
SO WE MUST REINSTAURE THE AUDIO TAPE
AND GIVE IT THE PLACE IT DESSERVES
IN NOWADAYS MUSIC INDUSTRY.
A minor place certainly, but does it really deserve more?
Monster K7 will also take part in the release of surprising or odd musical objects. It could be an audio tape or not. And it will be hand-recorded and hand-packed far away from standardized production lines and released in (very) limited edition.

Yo MonsterK7asaurus. I just found out that we're related...and as a special family only present we've made a new song for you called "End of Days" (start doing backflips now). It's an epic instrumental opus to the moment when our ancient Dino relatives saw a large fiery object plummeting towards them. Please come to our page, give it a listen and let us know if it makes you feel like something catastrophic is gonna happen. If the song upsets you too much we will be holding several s support groups (read: comcerts) in the near future. Check our page for locations, dates and times.
L'album de CORDEBREVE est paru. Le duo bordelais Cordebrève a eu l'ingénieuse idée de mettre en musique des poèmes créés à la fin du XIXe siècle.
Paul Verlaine bien sûr, Sully Prudhomme, Jean Richepin, Jean Moréas, Léon Valade, Catulle Mendès, ou Emile Verhaeren qui écrivent comme on n'écrit plus aujourd'hui.
Atmosphères en gris obscur, souvent charmantes, parfois angoissantes, toujours légères. De ces poèmes que le nouveau siècle pourrait juger mièvres, Cordebrève leur apporte des mélodies langoureuses et pop à l'orchestration luxueuse.).

Boris Gromberger, guitariste de Françoiz Breut, batteur de Soy un
Caballo et fer de lance de l'excellent label belge Matamore.
Le Vieux Léon, c'est sympa, bien situé (métro Etienne Marcel, rue de la
Grande Truanderie), l'entrée est gratuite et c'est toujours entre 20h30
et 22h00.
