    We grew up in metal of the 80's (e.g. Ozzy, Maiden, Priest, Queensryche, Dreamtheater, Megadeth, and Metallica) and that was our first real love of music and what led us into playing. Danny and I met when I joined the metal band he was in and we've been friends ever since. We hated the rock music of the 90's and early 00's though because the music was boring and droning and lacked any sort of substance. We missed the days of of the all out shred! Fortunately, with secular groups like A7X and Christian pop-rock groups like Lincoln Brewster it's coming back around. I still think the Christian music scene is lacking though because it generally takes them about 5 years to catch up, so you're still not hearing alot of shred going on in Christian rock or metal. Even great Christian groups like Disciple use "very little" guitar leads 'cause they're afraid they'll sound too "80ish"...like it's a BAD thing to show you have skill and talent! Go figure! LOL!!! Hope that answered your questions!
