A few years after dropping the 'Bombtrack' on their junior high talent show, Pete and Tom formed MP+TCs in early 1997. They soon fell upon keyboardist James Zoulas, Tom's cohort from the high school X-country team, and his drummer friend Micah. Bassists came and went like so many johns. MP+TCs stopped in many houses of lodging and merriment, music dispensaries, preparatory institutions, and centers of youth congregation, recording "Serpentine!" in the summer of 1998. The following summer, with Jeff Maccora on bass, they toured Northern California and Nevada in a tour titled "Pocketful of Napalm" or "Hellbent for Leather." They also made camp at James Stewart's Fort Awesome to record "Too ZuLu for You!" After playing sporadically over the next year or two, they set down their instruments until late 2006. Today, Tre, Micah's friend from Starving Musician music store, plays a mighty bass.
