montage sauvage, das sind die VJ-Herzbuben. Hinter dem Pseudonym steht ein Künstlerquartett mit Schwerpunkt Live-Videokunst, Club-Visuals und Party. Aktiv seit 2005, hauptsächlich in Graz und Rest-Österreich, immer wieder auch internationale Einsätze ('08: New York / '07: Oslo, Köln / '06: Shanghai). Wahrscheinlicher Weltrekordhalter für VJing unter Extrembedingungen: Am Salzburger Gletscher Kitzsteinhorn, 2.800 Meter über dem Meer, bei minus 25 Grad und dichtem Schneetreiben. Normalerweise Auftritte in Clubs mit elektronischer Musik, diverse Ausstellungsarbeiten und Nebenprojekte.
Die Visuals von montage sauvage verschmelzen Mini-Movies mit 3D-Objekten und Grafikanimation. Kantig, körnig und konkret: Alles wird bei montage sauvage mit "wilden Schnitten" verbunden.

montage sauvage is an Austrian VJ-collective. It was founded at the 2005 spring festival for electronic art and music in Graz, which is also the hometown of all four members.
The members Johannes Paar, Julian Ausserhofer, Manuel Kostka and Philipp Rudler, have been occupied with visuals for quite some time and therefore developed different approaches to
vjing, which they combine at their performances. Narrative elements and found footage
connect with 3D-objects and graphic animation. Square, skew and squashed: Anything is
combined with "wild cuts".
This EP marks a step into the forefront; a milestone from fear of scrutiny or failure. Produced entirely alongside my crew, Miami Beat Wave, it symbolizes a journey beginning with a leap of faith, and resulting in a compilation of work that embodies a year's worth of collaborative effort, struggle, and sacrifice.
