Monte and the All Stars may be the newest and hottest cover band in the Tri-State area, but the players that make up this all star line- up are veteran rockers who have helped pave the way for most cover acts on the scene today. Their longevity and staying power are a true testament to their talent and popularity.

Keyboardist / Vocalist Bobby Lynch is the mastermind behind the “All Star” concept. His idea of forming a band comprised of the areas most talented musicians with the most experience under their belts has been making heads turn since the bands first gig in the spring of 2007. Along with the All Stars Lynch's resume holds such acts as The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Gary US Bonds, Franky Perez, and Dogvices as well as performing with Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes on a regular basis.

Lead vocalist Rob Monte is without a doubt one of the most admired and loved front men on the NJ club circuit. When he formed Who Brought The Dog in 1992, his wildly entertaining in-your-face antics shook up the cover band scene and it has not been the same since. He set the bar for showmanship and his ability to captivate an audience and keep them coming back for more made him a household name up and down the Jersey shore. This legend lives on in Monte and the All Stars. His natural stage presence, energetic flair and strong vocals never disappoint.

Richie Moscola, on lead guitar, is one of the most requested "fill-ins" in the business, having been called in to play for such top acts as The Nerds, Big Orange Cone, and Who Brought The Dog to name a few. With over 15 years experience on the local and regional music scene starting with cover pioneers Voices, he has played to thousands including 2 Stanley Cup Championship parades for the New Jersey Devil's as well with a resume' of national artists that is second to none. His reputation amongst his peers is impeccable and he is admired and respected for his professionalism and work ethic.

Drummer DJ Johnston has played in hugely popular cover bands such as Face Lift, The Monster, Blasted, and Screaming Broccoli and has toured all over the world with a corporate traveling percussion show “The Rhythmics.”

The multi-talented Dan McCarthy has played keyboards, guitar, and bass in legendary Jersey cover acts Lurker Park and Dogvoices, and is respected by his peers for his professionalism and work ethic.



The talent these rockers bring to the stage each and every night is undeniable. The amount of material they know and perform puts them in a league of their own, their set lists are a diverse and ever changing reflection of what their fans want to hear. Individually, they are masters of their respective instruments; collectively their chemistry as “Monte and the All Stars” is magical
