Monteloco aka It’s Loco Baby! Star Latino Hip-Hop recording artist, producer & live performer from The 805, Oxnard California. Monteloco prides himself in combining catchy hooks & clever lyrics with hard hitting beats for the streets & the radio. “I started rhyming in the 10th grade after listening to Mellow Man Ace, Kid Frost & A Lighter Shade of Brown on the Radio.” At 18 he recorded his first record, produced by childhood friend, international Hip-Hop producer, Madlib. In 2000 he released his first full length album “Retaliation”, on the 1st Chicano Rap music label, Familia Records. In 2001, the song “Lap Dance” produced by The Earthquake Institute, gained Monteloco regular rotation on the ground breaking radio program “Pocos Pero Locos The Network”. Resulting in Monteloco becoming the first artist from his area, “The 805” to sign a major label deal & release “Keep On Look’n” with Thump Records/Universal. “Keep On Look’n” included the song “Playa Poppy” produced by & featuring, BMI award winning, multi-platinum, writer & producer, Stocks McGuire. In 2004 Monteloco joined forces with Silent Giant Entertainment to distribute his 3rd official Album “Obsessed”. “Obsessed” included the hit single “Drinkz Up” featuring Lorence Michaels, produced by Javie Lopez. In 2007 Monteloco released the “PlayaPapi-EP” that included “LowRider Truck” produced by LITO Beatz & “Hot Mami” featuring platinum recording artist Lina Santiago, produced by Gold certified West Coast super producer, Fingazz. The PlayaPapi-EP also included vocals & production by the uniquely talented Paul Dateh. In the same year Monteloco was featured on the song “Grind” by RikRaf Entertainment on “La Coasta Nuestra” Compilation, Machete/Universal. After more than a decade of working with some of the industries best talent, he is finally ready to release The Best of Monteloco. This digitally remastered album includes 10 fan favorites & 4 previously unreleased tracks! The Best of Monteloco features production by Platinum Certified song writer & producer Stocks McGuire, Gold Certified West Coast Super Producer Fingazz & his protege LITO Beatz, Javi Lopez, Paul Dateh & Philadelphia's Tek Nizzle. The Best of Monteloco features vocals by Platinum recording artist Lina Santiago, The God Father of Latin Rap Mellow Man Ace, ODM of the legendary group A Lighter Shade of Brown, Stocks McGuire, Fingazz, Lorence Michaels, Paul Dateh, & Tangled Thoughts.
