Allen Dean: Rhythm and Lead Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, Lead and backing vocals.
Jason Whitman: Rhythm Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards
Both Allen and Jason share the song writing, arranging and mixing.
That's it... just two guys who live thousands of miles apart and have never met face to face!
God Bless modern technology!
Influences
Both artists are heavily influenced by Queensryche, Dream Theater, Megadeth, Rush (to name a few). They share a mutual love of heavy music, and good, solid music in general.
Allen comes from a metal "purist" background. Growing up in the eighties in Sacramento had an enormous impact on him. Bands like Sabbath, Dio, Zepplin, Tesla, Hendrix... the list goes on and on. Allen brings to bear the soaring tenor vocals metal has been lacking for so many years.
Jason comes from the nineties. Bands like Alice In Chains, Collective Soul, Megadeth, Queensryche, Incubus, Tantric, etc.
Together, they fuse the old and new flavors of metal into a juggernaut that has only just begun...

Depending on the song, Montgomery California will bring up whatever influences seem relevant to the project at hand
Montgomery California as a name is derived from the locale of its members.
Jason lives in Montogmery, AL. And the Allen lives in Sacramento, CA. Nothing fancy, just a name for us to have a spot to post some killer tunage!
Basically, it's town located on the borders of Mayhem and Chaos!
The band met back in the beginning of 2007 on macjams.com. They realized that they could create some awesome music and decided to come up with the name so they had a mutual place to post their cacaphonic mayhem!

Hey - Thanks for the friendship! Music links us all together. There are
wars taking place in every country in the world ... some are just more
obvious. Music can make a difference. Keep reaching out.
Yea man you too. Thats so crazy and random to meet another mac fan. I like the songs.
go to kexp.org when you get a chance. there should be a link somewhere to get info on sending a demo or emailing a link to your music. I listen to kexp a lot. they just play new music in several different genres. they have genre specific shows with a dj or two hosting it. there is a punk/metal one. its a great buzz generator.
