Audiences warm up to Monti's quirky stories quickly. She is one of thirteen children. Her father is the Puerto Rican Johnny Appleseed. Her mother's the only Colombian obsessed with vacuum lines. Monti dishes on everything from her soul-mutt Chewy Chew Chew, to beating a one-legged man in a marathon.. literally. She has a laundry list of phobias (mayonnaise, ex-boyfriends, the little white drop of milk slobs get on their lower lip when they're eating Rice Krispies) that both women and gay men relate to.
Monti began her career in South Florida as an MC for The Improvs in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach- opening for Bob Saget, Nick DiPaolo, Gilbert Gottfried and Chris Tucker. She's since worked rooms across the country, with spots at The Original New York Comedy Club, The Punchline in Atlanta, Seattle's Moore Theater and The Improvs in New York City, Cleveland and San Jose. A former model, the 31 year old has written comic books for First Light Entertainment, plus columns for Closer and Jezebel Magazines. TV work includes Host of a video count down show for FOX-TV affiliates in the Southeast. You can hear this 7 year radio veteran every afternoon on Seattle's Movin 92.5 KQMV-FM.

I ran my first marathon in January. In the 7 HOURS it took me to finish, I was forced to pee in the woods twice. NOTHING GOOD HAPPENS IN THE WOODS... especially when your baby exit's exposed. I've been skydiving 3 times sober and 1 time shit-faced. As with most things, 1 time shit-faced is terribly more interesting than 3 times sober. I don't sleep much. My dog won't stop eating her ass. She slurps in 3-D.

So, due to a freak accident I've been waking up to your morning show for the past few weeks. This morning, my lady slept over and had to hear you come on the radio and get snoozed several times, and she knew I had been talking about this DJ who plays me Ice Cube and Michael Jackson and she was feeling jealous but then this morning you name-checked Real Change, where she is the development director, and you made her day, so my Monti crush is allowed to continue.
Well the weather sure has changed and here I was wanting some more Summer day-lol. Oh this Sunday/next week is Founder's Day Big Sale at my work-(Fred Meyers) if you or your family and friends wanted to check it out. It sucks I will be having to work during it and I know it will be slammed but I am thinking the day should go by quick-(I hope). I'm just happy I'm on Fall Break for 2 weeks
Hi Monti gotta luv it another beautiful day outside, if you and your friends have a chance to see you should try and see -Burn After Reading- movie that comes out this Friday. I'm going to try and see it myself on Friday or Saturday with my friends Sarah and Laura, I love all of the other great movies like No Country For Old Men, O Brother Where Art Thou, Fargo, Raising Arizona, and The Classic The Big Lebowski.
