......The group Jester was born end of the 80’s, The founding members are Steve Labelle(Bass), Martin(Mart) Piché (guitar),Sylvain (Sly) Lemieux(drum) and Denis(Jackville) Coulombe. Two other singers, Steven Gagné from 1990 until 1992 and finally Maxime Vezina who is still with the band today. Two rhythm guitarists also were part of the formation along the way, Francis Boulanger first then Francis aka the "Punk" filled in to be part of the Canadian tour in 1995 with Christian Cousineau behind the drum. Chris replaced Sly as the main drummer for the 1995 canadian tour as a full time member of the band after Sly quit. A first demo of 8 songs was recorded at the studio Piccolo in Montreal with Steven and from that demo, the song No More was chosen by Music Plus for a demo clip video that has to turn during a year in big rotation and also been on a compilation of the better demo clip songs with BMG records Canada. This cd was distributed in the whole province but did not had a big success. At the end of 1992 ,Jester recorded another cd with the title Time has come. This cd of four songs had for goal to look for a deal with a disc company that could have put the group on the map, but the period was no more gleaming for the Hard Rock kind of band Jester was, the Grunge was emerging in force and kind of signed the death of several group of this genre. The band most prosperous period was from 1991 to 1995, they played United States and does a complete year tour across English Canada before taking a break that become to be a pause of 12 years. Then Retrospect Records, a specialized label who is doing re-edition of album from non signed groups did a re-issue of our first demo and kind of put the band back to life in 2005. The band is presently working in studio to record four new songs. Jester did only two public appearance since then, but many more shows are expected. The ultimate goal of this meeting is to have fun before all and to produce show of quality. The group energy is stronger than never and the pleasure to rediscover itself on scene is undisputable... _________________________________________________________________ ......Le groupe Jester est né fin des années 80, Les membres fondateurs sont Steve Labelle(Bass) Martin(Mart) Piché (guitar)Sylvain (Sly) Lemieux(drum) et Denis(Jackville) Coulombe. Deux autres chanteurs, soit Steven Gagne de 1990 a 1992 et finalement Maxime Vezina 1992 a aujourd'hui se sont relayer. Deux guitaristes ryhtmique ont aussi fait partie de la formation en cour de route, Francis Boulanger et un autre Francis dis le "Punk" qui a été en poste jusqu'a la fin de la tournée Canadienne ainsi que Christian Cousineau comme batteur pour la même tournée remplacant Sly qui quittait le band a l'automne 1994 pour des raisons personelles.Chris fut le batteur principal jusqu'a la fin de 1995. Un premier demo de 8 compositions a été enregistrer au studio Piccolo de Montreal avec Steven d'ou la chanson No More fut selectionné par Musique Plus pour un démo clip qui a tourner pendant un an en grande rotation et qui s'est aussi retrouver sur une compilation des meilleurs démo clips sorti avec BMG records Canada. Ce cd a été distribuer dans toute la province mais ne connu malheureusement pas le succès espèré par Musiqueplus et BMG. un deuxième effort a aussi été enregistrer avec la collaboration du studio Piccolo a la fin de 1992 qui porte le titre Time has come. Ce cd de quatre chansons avait pour but de rechercher un deal avec une compagnie de disques qui aurait pu mettre le groupe sur la map mais la période n'était pas des plus reluisante pour les groupe Hard Rock émergent, le Grunge fut sont apparition en force et signa la mort de plusieurs groupe de ce genre .La période du groupe la plus prospère fut de 1991a 1994, le groupe a jouer au Etats-Unis et fait une tournée de un an au Canada anglais avant de prendre un break qui s'est avérer être une pause de 12 ans. C'est après s'être fait approcher pas Retrospect Records, une compagnie de disque indépendante de Las Vegas spécialiser dans la ré édition d'album de groupe non signé qui a remis le groupe en marche en 2005. Steve,Mart,Sly et Max se sont retrouver après toutes ces années et la magie était encore la. Le groupe travaille présentement en studio pour enregistrer quatre nouvelle chansons. Deux prestations du groupe ont eu lieu depuis la réunion dont le dernier show remonte a l'été 2008 a Montréal, mais d’autres shows sont a prévoires. Le but ultime de cette réunion est d'avoir du fun avant tout et de produire des show de qualité. L’énergie du groupe est plus forte que jamais et le plaisir de se retrouver sur scène est incontestable. C'est donc une histoire a suivre, le groupe ne cherche pas jouer a tout pris, nous prenons le plaisir et le privilège de choisir les shows que l'ont fait. Le groupe a toujours pris une grand soin de son image et continu dans ce sens. Ont peut encore se procurer un cd contenant la majorité des chansons enregistrer en studio sur le site de Retrospect Records au www.retrospectrecords.com ainsi que sur e-bay, il existe encore des cd originales du groupe en circulation.
