After four college students discovered a connection bound by their love for music, the electro-jazz band Montu was founded. Although Montu is typically an instrumental band, they have been known to feature several guests at their shows to sing a song or two. Band members, Colby Cowart, John Barkley, Jon Godsy, and Jeff Cook take precedence in pleasing their audience and it is of utmost importance, to them, that the crowd is continuously dancing throughout their performances. After only one year of being together, MONTU has already played across Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado playing at such popular venues as Cain's Ballroom (Tulsa, OK) and Owsley's Golden Road (Denver, CO) and opening for such big name acts as the Disco Biscuits. 2009 promises to be a big year for MONTU so come check them out when you get a chance and you won't leave disappointed.
