About Moodbase

Suni Moodbase is the name of breakbeat Lithuanian DJ and producer. You may know him as the creator of a number of popular mixes. You may have heard them on a radio and now they just can't get out of your head. It might sound corny, but after one night on the dance floor with his beats, you'll understand what we mean saying, that: "Moodbase will rock your world".

Started carrier ten years ago Moodbase already established himself as pioneer breaking all rules in kicking beats with melodies. And we're not just waffling on the breaking. Moodbase's basing his sets on Breakbeat; with a dash of Dubstep, Funk, Hip-Hip and on occasions even NuDisco and a sprinkle of mixed and scratched vocals on the side. There you go - one of a kind Moodbase flavor.

Reworks of the most popular Dance and Hip-Hop artists in Lithuania was only the beginning of his creative attitude. His first remixes were unexpected in a good way for local music market. After releasing reworks in most popular compilations Moodbase started his own compositions.

First single "Underground Baby" was immediately released by the biggest urban radio station in Lithuania as an outstanding dance music example. The second single "Apocalypse" was digitally released by the Italian record label "YE Productions". A year has passed and a series of promo mixes, called "Moodbase Session" was introduced to the world. First mix was a success immediately. "Moodbase session vol 1" attracted international recognision and an offer to warm up "4Kuba", world known brakbeaters from Belarus, was given. Promo mix didn't slip through Lithuanian clubs as well; the offers are flowing in constantly.

After such a beginning, new creation, "Moodbase Session vol 2" had quite some shoes to fill. The promo mix was recorded in March and received recognition not only from the clubbers, but world known professionals as well. Summer 2009 two new bootlegs "Symphony" and "Rap Or Funk" were born. Shortly after that German Funky Breaks/Big Beat label "BigM Bootie" released new Moodbase record. This was a hot time of year for Moodbase; sizzling sounds were flowing in the air. However, the flashpoint of the summer was an offer to warm up the legendary duet from UK "Plump DJ's".

But that's not the end. Moodbase is working on his ideas how to make local beat power kick all over the Europe. Cooperation with world labels and DJ's is constantly taking place; new records and boolegs are being generated. Everything that's been done is just the beginning. The best of Moodbase is only in the future. Heck, Moodbase is the future.
