Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Moody Eva has been playing records since 1993. In 1997, she moved to Hawaii and she played 4 nights a week and at 2 afterhours clubs for 2 years straight under the DJ name "Evil-lyn". In 2001, she moved back to SF (changing her Dj name to Moody Eva), and was instantly made General Manager of LiveDJs.com. That same year she re-vived her website, GoodBeats.com, and used the site to promote her DJ friends. Alongside Cameron (aka: Shortbus), she co-started the record label Big Popsicle. Since 2001, she has released a total of 7 songs and licensed 4 of them. Her labels include Big Popsicle, Undercover, Blunted Funk, and Wally's Groove World.
For years, she played every club in San Francisco. In 2004 she moved to San Diego, bought Pro Tools, and started making more beats than ever before. Her ability to record and give out a new mix almost weekly is what sets her apart from other DJs. In 2007 she realeased over 50 unedited mixes on her podcast, and 20 of them she made daily, for 20 days in a row.
She is known for her musical talent, boundless energy, great intentions, and her ability to have a great time wherever she goes.
Moody moved back to the Bay Area in 2008. She is gearing up for a HUGE year ahead....... watch out San Fran and Oakland.... the bitch is back!!!!!!!!
Her newest release as one of the duo TRAMP TOWERS called "Ghetto Barbie" is available on Addictech and Beatport. The official itunes release date, April 20, 2008. Look her up on discogs.com to see her complete discography.

Finishing School is a true representation of the myriad styles that have influenced Eva over her many years of traveling as a DJ throughout the world. This album is a culmination of her experiences and influences both at home and abroad. grafting genre bending samples into inviting electronic grooves with a melancholy streak leaves the tracks on this record room to brood and blossom.
Straight out of the gates the "San Francisco Sound" is evident with the intro track "Drive Fast". A moody, atmospheric, funky house number with Eva providing vocal cuts. Next up "Grab Your Tits" takes us on a dubbed out tangent into auditory head space setting the stage for its glitched out percussive layers enveloping the listener from all angles. Instrumentals like "Secret Weapon" with its bubbly, undulating bassline and lush arrangement glow with Eno-style analog-synth warmth and vigor.
As the naming convention and track arrangement suggest, the songs blend into each other creating an album weighed toward showcasing masterful execution. Predisposed with technical prowess and solid studio dexterity, Finishing School is more than a collection of great songs.
Watch out ... the bitch is back!.
NEW RELEASE!!! BLUNTED BREAKS Vol.4 "Ghetto Barbie" by Tramp Towers, with LUX remix
From the record label that helped put Kraddy on the map for the west coast, Blunted Breaks has done it again! Their new release, and debut song by Tramp Towers, is squishy and dirty somewhere between breaks and house. Space bass with juicy glitch vocals is the theme of the first Blunted Breaks release for the 2009. Two old-school house djs from sf, Moody Eva and Dawn of Sound, collaborated to form the ‘Tramp Towers' in late 2008. Their cut has a grimey bassline, haunted vocal teasings, and plenty of acid to mess up the place. LUX from the Indivisible label drops in for a taste of beautiful noise, and maticulous programming – his remix is a growling glitch-hop monster sure to shake your inner soul. The songs are both currently available on Addictech and Beatport.
The official itunes release, April 20, 2009!
