  • Bio

.. "Hinging on the writing partnership of David Boyd and John Deacon, Moody Tuesday have come a long way in a short space of time.Putting the guitar back into indie and passion back into lyrics the band has moved on from their humble beginnings and found their own unique voice. Still retaining the raw energy of their origins the debut album builds on the foundations laid by 2009's 'The Lost Class' EP and takes the band to a whole new level. The band take elements of punk, rock and indie and melds them all to form an instantly memorable pop hook in every track. They deliver their live shows with the kind of urgency and fun lost in the quagmire of the current twee indie scene; they are here to entertain not pout! With the debut album completed and released, tracks like 'Ride', 'Red Top Avenger' and the radio friendly 'Lucid Dreams And Fantasies' that have been getting the crowds going for months are finally available for all to hear. Having spent the best part of 2010 gigging, supporting the likes of Bez & Domino Bones, The Vortex and Mike Joyce (The Smiths) as well as headlining their own shows, this is a band that understands the need to work hard. 2011 will see the band hitting the road for a mini tour of the UK in support of the album as well as working on the follow up…. If only all bands had their work ethic! - Jules Aplin, Head of Angry Badger Records Moody Tuesday perfectly weave songs to engage and enjoy. Instantaneous pleasure is something hard to come by (literally!), but with Moody Tuesday their songs will have you captivated after the first listen. I wonder whether if in naming themselves Moody Tuesday they are being ironic. Because their music just puts an inane, if slightly manic, smile on my face" – Steve Cox, ICR 105.7FM

Bio:

Moody Tuesday were formed in Late 2008 with the aim of making some back to basics, full on, honest rock and roll.

We aint here to re-invent the wheel, we're here to bring you tunes that make you want to laugh, shout, cry and go mental!

We are no frills, no gimicks musicians with the ability to rock all and every venue we play.

We are Moody Tuesday get involved!

Jules Aplin Head of Angry Badger Records - Moody Tuesday wear their influences and their hearts on their collective sleeves, producing a raw rock and roll sound with emotive lyrics about trying to break free of the everyday drudgery, something we can all probably relate to. If Oasis had listened to Springsteen and The Kinks rather than The Beatles, this is what they could have sounded like.
