Mook Hustle the hip hop hippie bringin funk to speakers near you. With a blend of music focuses ranging from funk, jazz, blues, to rock Mook tries to represent the culture of hip hop while at the same time taking the concious approach. Dusty bom-bap beats with truthful, gritty lyrics has earned this MC/Producer much respect along the way. Armed with his Mv-8000, turntable, vinyl and a constant supply of creativity H.U.S.T.L.E. is a breath of fresh air in the all-too-"bling-saturated" state of hip hop.
Born and raised in Phoenix Arizona, Mook developed a great love and appreciation for the artform. He moved to Shreveport Louisiana at age 14 where he started honing his skills. Mook's laid-back, stoney style of production and raw, witty lyrics brought him to the forefront of the Shreveport
underground hip hop scene. In a market filled with more quantity than quality Hustle continues to push true hip hop back into the place where it belongs...in our minds, and in our hearts, not our wallets.
At the same time keeping his music as raw as it comes, Mook draws a lot of his inspiration for The Lord Almighty. while not considered "Christian music" , Mook feels that this is his gift that was givin to serve his higher purpose.
