After a summer of darkness hey mook are preparing to record their 5th album. The songs are written... well mostly... money has been secured...in theory-------------------------------------------->The band felt pretty smug after a surprise visit from legendary Go-Betweens drummer Lindy Morrison at the last gig --> "it was my birthday party and there's Lindy singing happy birthday to me" said a flaberghasted sister of unnamed band members----------------------------------------------------> the Crescent Hotel watering hole to the stars
When are you going to update yer MySpace playlist and give us punters some new tasty tidbits? I'll organise a sunny saturday arvo gig at the Coburg Pool for ya if yer kin get yer butts in synchro. Oh, I forked out and renewed yer useless domain name so send me a copy of the new long player as compo.
This Friday November 13th FROM 9PM @ The Royal Oak Boatshed MAD CIRCLE presents November Reign featuring: The Little Cubas, DIRT, Gutherie and Emani0 $6 cover charge
What's this I hear from Mr Scoob about a January 26th-ish 2010 gig with a guest slot from The Reserves, The First Third and other prime-evil Mook versions? Book a flight or save my cash for a relaxing seaside holiday? I hate planes.
I have only just noticed how much "Drive me home" is like an authentic Kinks song. I do know, owning all of your CDs, that you are inspired real geniuses on your own, so this isn't meant negatively. I guess the Kinks guys would be proud if they had written and performed this themselves.
errrr Yeah, happy new year Mooks. I think you should do your next long player live in the Crescent Carpark and call it a take (if you're game). It'd cook like a Crescent Hotel kitchen vegan dinner. Anyway, I think Nick Cave totally sucks (if I'm allowed to).
Get the Mooks a spot at the Big Day Out 2009 by voting for them at uncharted. com. au (I took the liberty of registering them) ... like it'll be worth it just to hang with Neil Young .... P.S. Happy 40th Maggotman
In which Robbie McMook gets the dubious honour of being the first mookish visitor at Muriel Court Mansions and we all agree a man needs a shed. The Mooks need a man with a shed. Anyways, apparently Coburg is the new home of Rock n' Roll in Melbourne so I think I'll start a local version of battle of the Garages if I can ever get a band together. Watch out. The last thing the world needs right now is another f*****g alt-country band.

Hey Mooks - you gave great practice the other night and thanks for doing request - Cold Snap done to the max - anyways get cracking on the new long player before it goes stale - I'll send Kyle Sandilands a demo and maybe he can help with distribution, I hear he's very good. Love your garage Robbie. Love the Mooks ... .. .
