This launch event will be an exploratory performing arts and live literature festival incorporating the 3rd birthday celebrations of Mooncalf Curios, and the launch of Forbidden Books, our new small press imprint.

Come and celebrate the launch of Forbidden Books on the first night of the festival with the launch of 'A Trail of Burnt Paper' by Paul Knight. The evening's proceedings will include a harp rendition by The Dim Goddess, live literature performances by the deliciously decadent Sarah Jane Russell and Mooncalf Curios as well as a performance by the stunning and spellbinding My Dark Aunt, who will be your headline act for the evening. Arrive early for surprise giveaways and promo goodies!

Mooncalf Curios and Forbidden Books present an evening of short fiction and performance poetry. The evening will include readings by Sarah Jane Russell - with live illustration by the inimitable Laurie Pink. Also expect a reading by Mooncalf Curios Paul Knight and live music from Anarcho-Art-Folkists Spidermilk- 'Music which enriches as only eight legs and calcium can'.
We are also very excited to present a reading by internationally reknowned author Toby Litt and will be round

'Christmas in Summer' - Come on down to the Marquee for some great bands and festive fun includiing christmas carols, decorations, costumes and much much more.
