Mooncalf is a beautifully set country recording facility in rural Wiltshire. Built in 2007, it incorporates the modern with the old. We give the client the individual attention they deserve, taking your production to the next level.
Mooncalf uses the latest Pro Tools HD8 software and a beautiful old Soundtracs IL series console for recording and mixing. We find the desk is the perfect compliment to a modern digital recording system, providing a quality front end to ProTools.
Monitoring is courtesy of a full Dynaudio system including Subwoofer, with Yamaha active nearfield monitors.
The control room has a balanced frequency range for accurate monitoring and assessment of recordings. This air conditioned room provides a very comfortable space in which to work.
The spacious live room has a great acoustic character which is perfect for recording all types of acoustic instruments.
The vocal booth provides a much flatter and controlled sound.
Most importantly there is natural light and a stunning view.
It really is a great place to be.
