Random Sound
In the spring of 2006, Swedish keyboardist “Anton Sandstrom” met Swedish guitarist “Jakob Eskillson. “ Hitting it off right away, they found they both shared the same dream; start a band and tour the world. They decided to team up , and started putting together what would soon become “RANDOM SOUND.” On board came “Fredrik Gustafson, bass guitar, “ Victor Fransson, drums “, and “ Lars Ulvatna “, vocals , and a basement jam session was set up for March 5th, 2006. The first song into the jam and everyone knew this was something special..The jam carried on, and by the time it was over, a new child of rock and roll had been born. They had walked into this dark basement five strangers, and they walked out a band. They decided to call the band “Random Sound “ after the random way they had met and formed. They also knew they needed a lot of rehearsal and experience to bring their dream to reality. So they spent their nights rehearsing, their days in the local coffeehouse talking music , and playing for anyone who would listen. In July of 2006, they recorded their first demo of self penned tunes. It gained them many fans and earned them local gigs. With this success, the band realized that writing was the way to achieve their dream. It gave the band its own identity.. At one of these club gigs, the band met and took on as their personal manager, “Erik Lindquist “, and started booking more gigs. In the spring of 2007, the boys went into a studio in Gavle to record the second demo, “Second Wave” which like the first one brought more gigs and got them known across Sweden. In June of 2008, they returned to the studio to record their first EP, “We're Goin In” signifying their first real venture into the music business . They put it up on myspace , hoping to attract the attention of a label or production company. And thats where I came in........................................................................ As co-owner and producer for a record label, I get cds, EPKs, and demos from bands on a daily basis. There are many wonderful bands out there, but there is much more to consider when you sign a band than just musical ability. When I stumbled across the Random Sound, myspace page, I liked what I heard. The writing was excellent , so was musicianship, arrangements, and I liked the bands attitude. But I also felt they needed more tunes, and a little more experience wouldn't hurt. .So after a few weeks discussions, I called them up and said.... find a big house, move in together, write new tunes , rehearse,, play as many gigs as you can, and call me in six months. Six months later I got a call from the new experienced Random Sound . They had survived six months together, written new tunes, in short they were ready. I immediately signed them, and they will be moving to the U S shortly, where we will proceed to record their first cd for Moondancer Records. With their very own style of pop-rock, Moondancer Records welcomes Random Sound to our roster of fine artists, Sonny Tackett, Moondancer Records
Sonny Tackett is one of the best kept secrets in the music world.A veteran singer, songwriter, and performer, Sonny has toured the world in numerous roles,as an engineer,as a backing musician, and as a solo performer. Many signed artists have covered his songs, including Gary Stewart, Tommy Overstreet, Dwight Whitley, and many others, with more than three dozen cuts to his credit.Although most have been recorded by country artists,Sonny himself is a blues artists, born with a whiskey voice and a bad attitude,as one of his songs reveal. Outlaws Lament,Sonny's self produced debut album on indie label Moondancer Records, covers the bases from honky tonk blues country to blues rock with ease, revealing a versatile artist who is at home with many styles of music. From the intro of "Torture" co-written with Gary Stewart, to the last refrains of the Gregg Allman inspired "Laid Back",Sonny takes you through a lyrical journey of gypsies, outlaws, broken hearts, painted ladies, and desperate lives.Recorded at premier Alabama studio, Bates Brothers, the whole album is infused with a soulful vibe, enhanced by a stellar cast of seasoned musicians. So, open the cover, take the journey, and like the rest of us,eagerly await the next album that Sonny Tackett records.Moondancer Records is honored to be the new home of this truly unique artist.
Rock Music For Grownups
Most of the band has been around long enough to be influenced by everyone from Woody Guthrie and James Taylor to the Rolling Stones. And then there's the Beatles, Chuck Berry and Elvis Presley and the list goes on and on. These and other great artists of their youth remain a powerful influence. The amazing thing is what they take from these influences...lush harmonies, intricate arrangements and award winning songwriting.
Band leader Bill Mulroney’s singer songwriter career began in the 1970’s at coffee houses and garage parties, but it wasn’t until after a musical hiatus of 20 some years when seeing an open mic poster in a local bar that something clicked. Bill’s passion was reignited and almost immediately he began to realize a renewed passion to write, and to rock.
He has now formed the Second Wind Bandits, a super-charged group of musicians including songwriter Bill Mulroney on guitar and vocals; DC veteran Tom Blood contributing songwriting, vocals and lead guitar; songwriter Charlie Plunkett on lead guitar and vocals; Gary Garvin on bass; John Donovan on guitar and keyboards; and drummer Jay Dennis. With these musicians, there’s no lack of ability to rock, and their combined songwriting skills and lush harmonies are proven assets. Occasional contributors include Mike Lessin on lead guitar, Andy Conversano on percussion, Miriam Colon on vocals, and Mickey Meiklejohn on harmonica.

What's up Moondancerrecords? The music that flows from your instruments overwhelms me with creativity. You breath as delicately as vapors flowing towards an attractive flame. Your layers of absinthe and torsion form concretions of hyper-alimentation. Your beauty is equal to the smoothness of a polished gem. Cities crumble, skies ignite spontaneously in your presence. The stickers hugging the fruit smell better than the perfume of ambergris. What wonderful vibrations you are capable of. Your cleverness helps me breathe without the need of oxygen. All my thoughts are lost to your graceful gaze? How beautiful is the snowshine in your eyes, so directly current from the static in your mind. You turn the atmosphere ablaze with currents of sweet ethylene when you smile. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a volcano in heat. So charmingly silky, your skin is like a teardrop on a popsickle. Please let me hear more of that wonderful sound. A starfish's lifelong hallucinations of gelatin pools and of actuaries floating upon the foam and reciprocal ohm.
