Music
Music soothes my soul and it carries me through all my different emotions! Although I do not have a musical bone in my body...I admire those who do and if I could pick one of the most important things to me (other than people), music would be my 1st topic of interest. I LOVE all kinds of music but mainly listen to rock, hard rock, blues, and funk. I have different moods where I want to crank it up when grilling, put on funk for dancing around with my dog :) or I have moods when I am looking for serenity and put on indian flute music or soft jazz. My favorite local bands to hear live are 8balldown, Grey Haven, Course of Ruin, The Quick And The Dead, Buried In Fire, Grady, Pushmonkey, All Day I Drive, Vallejo, Butcherwhite, Del Castillo, Malford Milligan, Dysfunction Junction, Jimmie Vaughan, Arc Angels, Ian Moore, Blue Millenium...and the list goes on and on. Other favorites Carlos Zema & Vougan, Deathriders, HELLYEAH, Supe, Black Tooth, Nothingface, Rivethead, Sagi, Cherries, Mudvayne, Los Lonely Boys, Jakub, SRV of course, Tesla, Gov't Mule, GNR, Metallica, Faith No More, Disturbed, Korn, Alice In Chains, Shinedown, Big Head Todd, Tito & Tarantula, Tantric, Joe Bonamassa, Santana, Pink Floyd, Black Crowes, Tragically Hip, Robert Cray, Velvet Revolver, Pantera, Queensryche, Everlast, Buddy Guy, Ozzy......somebody stop me! :) I am pretty much of a hermit but have been getting out a lot recently to listen to bands for features on Klub KittyCat.

September 8, 2005I returned from a trip to NYC. The pictures below were from the Rescue 1 Firestation where we were fortunate enough to get a private tour. Click onto the pics to enlarge. The framed picture below is of the 11 fallen firefighters from Rescue 1, and fireman Ed who gave us the tour was on duty on 9-11! What heroes they all are!!!
