Bio
........ > .. Moon Jog began when three flat mates of Paddington, Brisbane decided to grab a collection of instruments and venture to an ancient Butter factory in Glen Innes to begin something new. Initially with the ideas to three songs that the band had been sitting on and experimenting with for the better part of six months, the Factory proved to be the spark of life for Clay (synth/guitar/vox), Steve (drums/vox) and Rhett (bass). The results were the songs "(2x2) Squared Sandpit", "Caribico" and the band's intial tour de force, "DanceDisco". The material evoked the sound of a fusion between agression, pop culture and animal instinct. Elasticated beats, twangy guitars and synth whitewash are the sonic tools of the three-piece and delivered in such a way as to give the audience an impactful, intimidating yet soul empowering show they are not likely to forget any time soon. Moon Jog's catalogue has continued to rise in quality and vision since the initial Factory sessions, and the band will soon begin work on their first album. They aspire to take their music to different continents, share the love and spread the party. The band have played in all the major venues around Brisbane with bands including Lost Valentinos, Ghostwood, Toy Balloon, the Holy Soul, Re:Enactment and Tin Can Radio. Fast, crass, episodic and melodic; they will kidnap your heart... .... .. ...... .. -

Sounds Like
what they say: "They are getting people moving wherever in the club they are with their downright arresting behavior" "Moon Jog takes to the stage. Frontman Clay is a multi-tasking wizard, switching enthusiastically between guitar, keyboard and handclaps" "With stage banter making me feel as though I’d walked into a science-fiction movie and dance moves typical of the indie-electro scene, Moonjog hinted to me that this was going to be a good night"
