MOONLIGHT Dub Xperiment es un conjuro de reggae espacial costarricense
que mezcla lo primitivo y la raíz de los instrumentos étnicos,
con el elemento futurista de la nueva tecnologia,
siempre bajo la estética del reggae dub instrumental.Comprometidos en su mensaje ecológico de la protección a la naturaleza, la cultura y el ambiente....
La banda inició en septiembre 2006 en San Rafael de Heredia en el MOONLAB laboratorio musical donde preparamos nuestros experimentos dub.
Todos los músicos son provenientes de reconocidas bandas como Mekatelyu, Frecuencia Libre, Bamaselo, Mod Ska, Mantra, Amoun Zulu, Cocofunka, entre otras… Aportando todos sus conocimientos musicales para crear
este nuevo experimento criollo de reggae lunático y conciencia ecológica...La banda inicio a finales del 2006, participando en festivales culturales, estudiantiles, Mundoloco 911FM y eventos de reggae internacional como Dub Coalition NY. Anthony B, Fidel Nadal, Kafu Banton, Steel Pulse, y cantantes de la escena nacional.

Moonlight estuvo presente en el pasado FIA 2008 donde obtuvo un gran apoyo del público y abriendo nuevas puertas en el ámbito internacional. En febrero 2008 relizaron su gira centroamericana LUNATICA en El Salvador y Guatemala-....En febrero 2009 lanzan su primer disco BIODUB con 13 temas de alta calidad profesional de reggae ecológico y experimentos electroétnicos con firma costarricense. Ese mismo mes lanzan su sencillo Black Star Line, un tema que rescata los valores culturales del pueblo limonense a principios del siglo XX, con alta rotación en varias emisoras y televisoras nacionales, apoyado con video profesional que incluye tomas del documental El Barco Prometido de Jazmín Ross y Luciano Capelli.---..En el disco participan varios artistas reconocidos como Santos en el Sitar,
Ras Huba en la voz, Ernesto Rubí en el Trombón y Sección de Berimbaos, para darle así una riqueza étnica musical de primera calidad.

Lunatic Reggae out of this World-
Moonlight have been part in the past FIA 2008, where obtained a great support of the public and open new doors in the international scene. In February 2008 Moonlight made its central american tour LUNATICA in El Salvador and Guatemala.
In February 2009 they launched their first album BIODUB with 13 professional high-quality themes of ecological reggae and electroetnic experiments with a costa rican flavor.
This album has the particularity that inside the cd the people will find an envelope with seeds of trees, to contribute with the conservation and reforestation of the planet. .
That same month they launched its single Black Star Line, a theme that rescues the cultural values of Limon town at the beginning of the 20th century. This song had with highly rotation in many radio and tv stations, supported with professional video that includes films of the documentary The Promise Ship of Jasmine Ross and Luciano Capelli. -

Un billón de gracias a todas las personas que nos han estado apoyando en esta primera ronda de eliminatorias.
Ha nosotros nos ha ido muy bien, subimos al escenario, tocamos No me preguntes y bajamos de la tarima con la euforia de haber dejado un concierto sin terminar.
Solamente seis de las quince bandas participantes clasificarán para la segunda vuelta.
Los resultados se estarán anunciando el próximo domingo.
