About me:

Beading is a passion, for many of us. I don't know how many times I've said and heard others say "beading gives me a purpose." Now explaining the purpose of beading is a whole other thing!! We bead because we like making things, pretty things. Beading keeps our hands busy when we can't do anything else. We bead because it calms us down. Sometimes beading goes beyond just calming us, beads helps put the pain aside. I think it has something to do with the counting, and the rhythm. Beading can be very addicting!! First, beads draw you in with their pretty colors, all their hues, and the feel of the beads can be enticing. Smooth, rough, tiny, some are almost perfect and others are "all wobbly". Sometimes beads even make me laugh. taken from dragon.com--- it so fits what every beader or craftsman or artist feels. This is my time to live. I need to get my life back on track. I have been sleep walking since I came back to Utica. I need to stand back and take inventory of who and what I am. Anyone who doesn't know me or know me well doesn't know the hell of the past year. I am not going to explain it here. My passions are making beaded jewelry, obviously. I have an obsession w/ my hair, pin curls, hot rollers, Victory rolls, Bouffants, I love sundresses, fifties, retro and just plain girly items. I love my hair long. I look incredibly young and feel out of touch with those my age. I love to read, mostly classics and literary merited books. Not much for common fiction. I love to swim but hate bathing suits. I consider myself a bit of a princess. Not spoiled and not needy. Just in how I dress and act. I believe good manners are a must as is etiquette. I love sushi, fine food, amazing musical scores, and theater. I also love yard sales, thrift stores, book stores, vintage anything. I tend to seem a bit snobby but honestly I am not good with people I don't know or large crowds. One on one I can rock a conversation. I live for coffee, smokes, and my friends. I can be bitchy and whiny at times when I become fed up with my life. I get a slight kick out of seeing people wearing my jewelry. I am a recent Aunt to a beautiful sassy little baby. I hope I can protect her from my brothers snobbery. I am proudly bipolar. Yes, I said proudly. It gives me a way to see the world the way so many others do not.

Who I'd like to meet:

absolutely no one. I do not like people and I am sure it is a mutual thing. Well I like some people. If you are on my friends list it means you have my fierce loyalty. I forgive easily but I never forget. Even I have limits to forgiveness. I hate bullies, republicans, racists and sexists. Always looking for brave conversations. For someone to stand by what they believe in even if it isn't a popular opinion. I make no judgment on anyone till I can hear what they truly believe in and prove that it isn't with merit to do so. I am always looking for other beaders, readers, and downright silly people. If you can get into a conversation about naked midgets, the best sidewalk chalk, bubble velocity, zombie walks, or the last book you read. You must know how to play and be childlike no matter how old you are. Not much into bar jocks and bar frocks.
