WHO TURNED THE LIGHTS OUT? Moonshot's first single on the EML Recordings Label is released on Monday 19 October complete with 'In the Club Mix' b-side. New album NO SIGN OF MORNING will be released on the label in November.
London based Moonshot (Daniel Kent and Richard Wolfe) combine dark, urban beats with pop melodies to create songs that are challenging yet accessible. Blending the pop sensibilities of 80s electronic bands with the Bristol led trip hop pioneers of the 90s, Moonshot occupy a unique and relevant space in the current music scene.
New LP - No Sign of Morning consists of ten original tracks and continues the bands prolific output which has produced five albums and two EPs since 2001. Sometimes personal, sometimes topical, No Sign of Morning blends strong atmospheres and narratives to create a series of urban tales that provide a snap-shot of English life in the early part of the 21st century.
Moonshot’s influences include bands such as Pet Shop Boys, Massive Attack, Depeche Mode and Portishead as well as artists as diverse as Pink Floyd and Tori Amos.
