I love learning something new and try to every day. I read everything I can get my hands on. I do crossword puzzles and love Sudoku. I watch The Learning Channel, the Discovery Channel, Comedy Central and Court TV. Ok, so I'm a little weird. I love Cooking, I try a new recipe once or twice a week. I am trying to change my lifestyle to include weight lifting and exercise, I want to be one of those hot 40 something year olds, I'm eating healthier and meditating and doing yoga and aerobics and of course walking the very spoiled dog. My most favorite thing in life is music, I love to get lost in the lyrics of a song. Music is the nectar of the spirit, it truly touches my soul. I love anything musical ... classical, jazz, the blues, rock, pop, country ... you name it. I love to dance ... I strongly believe you should dance like no one is watching. I am working on a business idea that has been developing in my head for some time now. I can visualize my future and I see that business at its best. Now it's just "getting there from here". The most recent thing I have seen is The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks. An interesting watch. I loved the story line, since I like to learn about religions and philosphies. Others I've seen lately are: The Remote with Adam Sandler, The Prequel to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre - that was a wild one totally grossed me out. A Must See for the World is The Secret - very inspirational and educational.

  • Television

My favorite shows are Comedy Central Presents, CSI - the original show, Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy, I love Swingtown and Sons of Anarchy. Montel, Oprah and Dr. Phil, American Idol, Deal or No Deal, Jeopardy, Forensic Files, Comic View, CMT Countdown, Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader?, America's Most Wanted, UFC Fight Night, Football, and Nascar Racing! I told you I'm a country girl!
  • Books

The most recent books I have read are: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K Rowling and It's Not About Me by Max Lucado. Different genres of course. For fun the Potter books are awesome. And Max Lucado inspires my spirit and makes having a relationship with God easy for you. I love the way he words things .. I would say he really has a knack for getting to the truth. Another book I totally recommend to anyone who is burned out, beat down, worn out and just frankly waiting to die ... Read SELF MATTERS, by Dr. Phil McGraw. He has a way of just getting right down there and talking to you about who you are and what you want out of life. I learned some things about myself I didn't know and I feel it should be a text book in school or something. They don't teach these kinds of things to you when you need it. Another book I've read recently that is a must read for the world in general is Dr. Wayne Dyer's - The Power of Intention ... great motivational read. A couple of recent books I've read .. Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life by Dr. Wayne Dyer. It is a book about putting in action Tao Te Ching from Lao-Tzu. I really enjoy it. Also Max Lucado's Every Day Deserves a Chance. You: On A Diet by Dr Oz from Oprah's Show .. I saw the documentary he did The Truth About Food on A & E and this doctor is awesome and his diet and exercise plan does work and is easy to do. I read a lot due to school right now, but the one book that I made time for is A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle - an amazing book!!! Just finished the book "The Shack" by Wm. Paul Young please if you have not read the book - READ IT!
  • Heroes

My heros are my mother (Audrey Paulette), my family (The Hefner Clan, the Bradshaw side of the family never have been in the lives of my sister and me) and my children Michael, Kayla, and Allen. I learn from them every day, I am inspired by them, they bring me joy and fill my life with love. Also my grandparents Gaither and Thelma ... two of the most wonderful people you could have ever known. I think of them both every day and their lessons are always on my mind. Mike and I think he understands why I feel about him like I do. And last but no where near least is Glenn ... my ex-hubby, my friend, my anchor, my inspiration ... you all have helped to pull me through when I didn't think I could go on. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

About me:

I'm a Mom, a Daughter, a Sister, a Friend to many. I am currently studying for my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with my subfield being Substance Abuse Counseling. I attend classes online through Kaplan University and I have to admit I am pleasantly surprised. I was a little worried at first about attending school online. I am happy with my decision and in my Fifth term. I even made the Dean's List and I'm a member of the Owls Club and the Honors Society!! Yay me!!! I have been in Maine for almost five years now, moving here from North Carolina. "Yes I have that accent!" I was born in the former "Furniture Manufacturing Capitol of the US", Hickory, North Carolina. There's not much furniture being built there anymore. My Mom, my sister and I moved to Montgomery County after her divorce when I was 3. Montgomery County is one of those little rural places that is spread out over lots of farm land. The town I grew up in had TWO stop lights. The greatest thing we did for fun was cruise town, they won't let you do it there anymore. I remember while growing up, thinkin "I can't wait to get out of here". Now I would love to go back and just live in that small little town and live a simple life. I left Troy in 1988 and I've only been back once. I moved from there back to the birth town Hickory .. where I met my now EX husband. He was a tall, handsome, funny guy from Massachusetts. We met, fell in love, fell out of love, got back together, moved to Massachusetts, had a daughter, got married, had a son, got divorced. He was then and is still now one of my best friends ever in this life and I will forever feel that way about him. I firmly believe that divorced parents need to get along for their children and that means no petty jealousy or arguing over selfish stupidity. After our divorce I moved back to Hickory. Do you notice a pattern? I did. I'm a woman with a big heart. I've had some tough relationships and experiences and I've been programmed to believe certain things about life and love and responsibility, although I am reprogramming some of those thoughts at this point. I'm a little hard on myself, because if you don't expect the best from yourself - what's the point, right? I am completely lost in a sea of people and at times, I feel totally alone. I moved here to Maine to be closer to my children, they live with my ex husband. They are getting to the age now where being with Mom is like torture to them, so I'm learning how to let them go and spread their wings. I will talk about many things in my blog here on MySpace, a few of those things being; Psychology, Addiction, Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Healthy Choices. I love to discuss issues so please don't hesitate to drop me an email or look for me on yahoo messenger or AIM messenger. I am on a journey now. A journey to discover who I am fundamentally and where I belong in this world. I must look within for the strength and love I have searched for my entire life. I have a lot of work to do and it will be completely wonderful to get a pat on my back from time to time to just know I'm doing ok. So I'm bringing my journey here ... this is My Space to Be ME. ..Tracy Moore's Profile | Create Your Badge

You can usually find me playing a card game or Sudoko.

Who I'd like to meet:

Friends I haven't made yet. Oprah Winfrey because through her shows I am so inspired to stretch boundaries and live my best life. Dr. Phil McGraw - my daughter thinks he is creepy, but I feel he has exceptional insight into people. Lance Armstrong, because he is such an amazing person. Bono - because he gives of himself so much. The Dali Lama, it would be so amazing to learn such peace, he seems to just exude a peaceful, tranquil energy. Brad Pitt because he is so nice to look at .. I know that's not a good reason but hey, I'm a woman. I would like to me Angelina and the children too. Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Michael Roizen they wrote You: On a Diet and finally I got it!! Also Dr. Pamela Peeke she wrote Body for Life: For Women and her exercise plan is about to change my life (as soon as I get off my butt and do the work!) I could sit here all night talking about someone who has influenced my life in some way that I have never met, people who have inspired me or touched my life through their work, but I'm sure you don't want to sit here and read all that.
