Bio
At the start, the stage was dark. Picture Then he approached the microphone, His eyes looked briefly up, (sky turned). Then the voice… An ambience to itself, subtle, mahogany warm, valley-like deep, to bring back "the cool." Not a jazz singer, that time has passed, but a human chant to recall the sound of the master's horn. Among others, Moose Alexander has studied privately with Janet Lawson, Miles Griffin, Junior Mance, Chico Hamilton, Billy Harper, Dave Liebman and Reggie Workman. He graduated in 2003 with a B.F.A in Jazz Performance from New School University. Amen. -
