"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth" - Muhammad Ali
Let's see....Mo about me? I'm a Poet. Publisher. Photographer. Check us out, www.homestr.com.
Bottomline of my story: I went from welfare to doing well because God is and I believe Him!
I fell head over hills for words in my 7th grade English class attending Compton Unified School District and since then I've been on a quest to keep the literary arts alive for kids. I have self-published two poetry booklets titled A Collaboration of Poetry w/Attitude, Poems 4 The Soul Vol. 1 and The Essence of A Woman, Poems 4 The Soul Vol. 11. I was also blessed to be mentioned in a book titled Walk'in the Talk: Keepin' the Faith in Africentric Congregations by Dr. Julia M. Speller.
Since 1998, I've been honored and humbled to serve in my community by providing enrichment spoken word and culturally related assemblies for several school districts, community centers, churches and non profit organizations.
While listening to the voice of students that related to the assemblies, God gave me further instructions to expanded the components and curriculum to address the hunger for creative writing. While supporting the California Standards in English/Language Arts The Let's Write Out Loud Program was birthed to help kids fall in love in words.
I am the Creative Director of Homestreet Publishing and The Youth Organizer for The awarding winning Young Visionaries http://yvyla-ie.org/.
We only publish the students we work with so please don't send me any manuscripts :)
I'm involved in things that move my soul. I am passionate about so many things. Unfortunately and fortunately, I can not separate the writer and my job, from who I am as a person; honestly, nor do I want to. I experience things and become transparent when I pick up my pen. It is what it is, so I let it do what it do.
So, blah blah blah...what are you doing with your space?

A replenishing thought that just crossed my mind, thereby that of which I am going to share with you, my family, both personal and extended, friends, kith and kin, to somewhat help us to all shine, a little mo'e brighter, for show, and tell, but for real though, you know how it go, like the ninety nine deal, it really equals 9, another sign of out of the many, on the real, deal, there is still just 1, when you add it all up, how is that for some basic mathematic fun!
Your Uniqueness knows, only the bounds on the grounds and sounds that you put down as you make your rounds on this sacred Earthly ground, for as long as, you are around, so Mr. or Ms. Good-to-great, I decided to request and invited you for a friend, and to that end, I have no regrets. And to answer your question of what you sound and looks like to me? I pose these questions, and that is basically what do you sound, and look like to you? How do you see yourself within our rife, Ecology of life in the scheme of things, as a human being? Best wishes for you to keep on being you, and doing you, uniquely, your style, you know how you do, with continued better success, with all of your good, heart, of hearts inspired, desires for what you aspires too, on how you see yourself, hopefully in good health and happiness by the permissive will, grace and mercy of the God of the Heavens and this Planet Earth of your understanding! For ultimately after the preachers, preach, and or after the great teachers, teach, it is according to your faith, vision and conviction, so be, it, unto you!

"I do it my way
inspired by your mind
I do it your way
i'm tired of mine
I do it like them
expressed by me
They do it like I do
we learn from what we see
I did the same yesterday
he'll do the same tomorrow
She'll do the same another day
ideas are to borrow
I'm learning from you
you're learning from me
One thing we can't learn
is what we don't see ... "
