I was born in northern california. after that, it's all cemantics. i grew up all over, but now i'm back in california, playing guitar, singing, working, going to school in my off time. My cd is now available for purchase, through me. It was released on September 29th, 2007. It's called Random Select, and it has 10 songs.
Hi Doug! Thanks so much for your friendship & support! I just wanted to let you know that my new e.p. “Paper Box” is available now on itunes. Drop me a line and let me know how you’re doing! Visit http://www.tunecore.com/music/gayleskidmore for a link to my itunes site. Cheers! Gayle Skidmore
just wanted to drop a note by your site to see what's up.. we're booking Friday night semi-acoustic shows from February 8 and beyond right now, and i was just wondering if you had any interest in booking a gig sometime.. as more bands respond, i'll be updating the schedule, so you can see the open dates - first come, first serve! more info can be found on the site. feel free to give me a call or email me: 760.504.1744 and juliajackson88@yahoo.com. looking forward to hearing from you! we'd love to have you play any time you can make it down here - even showing up at the Open Mic Tuesday nights would be an awesome way to get to know you and your music more personally!
so your song today was pretty much the greatest thing since sliced bread... I feel complete now that I've heard it... you're just about as cute as a button!
is all that background noise supposed to be there...? it gives it a kinda bright eyes...er...maybe coheed...feel if it's not an accident. something like that. ha i can't think of what it reminds me of. maybe rilo kiley? is it live? ha. i can't figure it out. but it sounds good. i like the girl voices in the background. cool deal.
wow, that's awesome! I've been doing really good here. I'm living in this big mansion in the woods with like 6 other adults and 4 kids doing community living, so I'm pretty busy and it's pretty crazy, but I love it! Hey I play guitar and sing too, next time you come to town we should get together and jam.
haha the new songs are good. have you ever harmonized with yourself? that would be pretty sweet. and uh..you got that really fast strumming down. ha. doesn't always have to be so fast and ..same patterned and what not..just a suggestion. i think that's what makes most of your songs kinda...blend together. know what i mean? i know you have finger picked ones too though. i liked the beats in the environment song. ha. good job. at least you actually put songs up and work on them. i wish i could do that.
i think my favorite sub is probably ham and cheese...because i'm not adventurous. haha. i did try the club #8 the other day though and it was pretty dang good. who knows. they don't even have #11 on the menu now! i don't know how i ordered it so many times when it wasn't even up there. haha. anyways...your new band stuff is so exciting!! i want that so bad. i wish i had a band. ahhhh. we need a usb mike so i can get recording. ha. tell sharissa that's so nice :) made my day. ha. yeah phantom planet rocks the earth. mmmmm. honorary title too. I"M SEEING BEN FOLDS AUGUST 3RD IN TENNESSEE!! because he's coming to cincinnati AND indianapolis when we;re in poopy utah reunion. UGH. universe. k. i have a lot of catching up to do now that we have technology again. oh yeah i went to comics2cars today, you know that ghetto comic book place by our house cuz it was free comic book day. oh man. i met super heroes and creepers. so fun. ha. i went to margaritas too cuz it's cinco de mayo. happy mexico!!
love, emily
yeah that was blacks beach in la jolla. that was a crazy trip. i bet california is all sunny and happy now that i left and brought the clouds and crappy weather back with me
i didn't even know harmonicas came in different keys. haha. sweeeet deal. maybe one day i can record a demo or something too. we'll be the infamous culps. ha.
the harmonica is so cool!!! you're basically billy joel. haha. 'cept for the piano part. i like the new song. i still think there should be more range in the notes though. ya know? like instead of staying in the same area... also it sounded like you were singing lower than your voice was comfortable. but that might just be lack of support or something. i'm learning a lot in my voice lessons. ha. try to use your air for support more and keep your throat open. once you let the sound come mostly from your throat instead of your diaphragm and like..your whole body.. it gets tight and harder to sing for long periods of time and in different pitch ranges. bla bla bla. ha. keep rockin though. (as if you would ever STOP rockin!) ha.
