More Silage all grew up together in a Somerset village called East Harptree. Indeed, guitarist David held drummer Joel in his arms when he was not yet a day old. David still regularly holds Joel in his arms, although usually around the neck in a strangling motion.
Banjoer Thomas and accordionist Robert are brothers, although in the genetically tangled web of East Harptree this means they could just as well be father and son, uncle and nephew, or even their own siamese twin. (Work that one out, biologists.)
The band are trained in a highly specialised brand of full-voiced, ill-rehearsed, real-ale-fuelled, multi-hyphenated folk-pop. This genre may be described as 'Silage' in years to come.
The last year saw David and Robert embark upon a cinematic opus. They also made a film, called 'The Last Babacus', currently in post-production. It is a musical, featuring ten original songs and the best torture sequence you will ever see. Both Thomas and Joel landed main parts in the feature after several tough audition heats. The film is scheduled for early 2007.
Once David done a fat guffer in the back of Rob's car. But the funny thing was that Tom and Rob both done gurt fat guffers in the front too!
Why not peruse some of the band's videos below? The bottom right one is a link to the Trailer for 'The Last Babacus', and it will quite literally knock your socks off.
