More Than This. Perhaps the name implies there is more going on here than meets the eye - or the ear. Indeed, most listeners upon first exposure to the band ponder aloud how 4 guys could make so much music. Maybe it follows the age-old adage that the whole is more than the sum of the individual parts. Or maybe there really is some kind of musical scorcery going on behind the proverbial curtain, a kind of clairvoyance in the key of D sharp... In any event, the guys in the band aren't about to divulge all their secrets, but it's fair to say that the More Than This experience is a combination of great song selection, a high degree of musicianship, and just for seasoning, a sprinkling of technology here and there.
A More Than This show combines both sight and sound, action from the band and reaction from the crowd. Some in the audience choose to sit and watch, as if diverting their attention away from the performers onstage may somehow cheat them of their opportunity to take it all in. Others simply cannot sit still, choosing to shrug off the pressure and concerns of the everyday grind and lose themselves and their dance partners in the magic of the moment - as Billy Joel conjectured, "to forget about life for awhile..."
