Circle of Allusions (August '07)
I made this album called Circle of Allusions. During the hottest days of summer, I hid in my basement with an old reel to reel 4 track and sang what was to be said at that particular time in my life. I play: vocal chords, guitar chords, ukulele chords, toy piano chords, electric cords and percussion cords which might really be waves, but a cord is a wave if you bend it. It's very personal and being as such is directly relevant to everyone....I think.
Somewhere in Between the Great Divide (March '08)
This album was recorded durring the dark winter months in a livingroom in Champaign. With the aid of two charming girls, the ocassional drummer and tea cups full of peppermint, 12 more songs were produced just in the nick of time for my first tour. I think of it as a sort of sequel to the first, with a bit more expanse in the subject matter and delivery.
Yeah, you got it in one. I hope it's not TOO dangerous.
I will be sure to enjoy your country. You've got some really great stuff there. I am a particular fan of the high fructose corn syrup amongst other things.
Yeah, I intend on playing plenty of shows round the area and I think actually next summer I'm doing the woody guthrie thing and jumping on trains until I wind up somewhere interesting.
In which case, maybe we'll cross paths then! Have a great time on your tour. -Hattie
Yeah Nic's being telling me about it but not too much. I was indeed there yes! It was a very cool show. I'm actually going to be in the U.S. all summer, specifically Buffalo, New York and I might pop into the city to spend a couple days with Jeff and other friends.
I hope we can cross paths somehow! I fly home on August 18th. -Hattie
Cheers :D They don't sell Cheetos here, it's a crime against humanity and I miss them ever so much. :( Yeah there are some great gigs, lucky I live here. 0_o Saw the startek movie today, have you seen it? ;) It probably came out ages ago in the states..
I think I saw Jack FE at a Herman Dune gig. He was also playing with kimya dawson last week on a uke. :D Is he a triplet? cos the one I'm thinking of is. Let me know when you next come to the UK. Eat some cheetos for me? Ruth <3
