I'm currently 15 years old and have been singing since the age of 2. I remember going to church while my momma rehearsed to sing that morning, either in the choir, praise team or a solo. As soon as I could walk, I walked up on stage, and reached for her microphone. She handed it to me and smiled. You know what, I never let go of the microphone lol and I never will. It is something inside that burns. I remember telling my momma one day, "Momma, if I don't sing, I don't wanna breathe." Realizing the passion inside me with her eyes full of tears, she said, "Then sing baby because God has given you a gift and to whom much is given, much is expected." So that was the beginning of my singing journey, wherever it takes us, we always have fun, meeting awesome people, getting lost in the car lol, and most importantly enjoying each day. Whether the crowd is small or large, it never makes a difference to me, cuz I gotta sing :-) Hope you enjoy your stay and come out to one of my gigs somethime, we are all in this together, so lets make a difference. One thing is for sure after looking at the results of last month’s voter’s poll, the future of Country Music is in very capable hands. In one of the most hotly contested events we’ve had so far, this young lady brought in her large and very loyal following and completely dominated the poll for the entire month. And now for the big reveal, she’s only 13 years old! With an unbelievable voice, excellent choice of material, and production from Jan Smith Studios, one of the finest studios in Atlanta, Moriah Martin is virtually unstoppable. Combined with an unbridled passion for the music and a quiet acceptance that what she has is a gift from God that is to be shared with the world, I would say you are looking at one of the future giants in the industry that come along every 25 to 30 years. It’s been a full year of winning for Martin including nods from The Georgia Country And Gospel Music Association where she won CD of the year, Holiday Song Of The Year, Vocalist Of The Year, and Entertainer Of The Year in New Country.
