I don't mind if you write just a paragraph but if you don't want me to make wrong assumptions about something important you may want to be more descriptive. I couldn't care less about drama. Besides that, no autohitting, no godmoding or powerplaying, please.

Realm of Chaotic Magick In an ambitious move Matron Mother Kyrnill Kenafin (DROW) & Overlord Draconous, King of all Goblins (LIAR) planned and carried out a simultaneous cooperative invasion of Ukraine and Greece. The 2 leaders discussed the benefits of allowing LIAR and DROW forces to work together on this invasion & decided that the twin victory would inspire their troops to work cooperatively Drow & Goblins together, (an issue close to the Overlord's heart after his recent marriage to a Drow Priestess). Travelling on ships Drow & Goblin brigades working together were despatched to Greece & Ukraine with synchronised landings planned. The Drow utilised assassins, the Priestess Collective & the Death Squadron. DROW combined magic with fighting skills to devastate the unorganised local forces. Ukraine had been left unguarded at night their ill-equipped troops not watchful. As the Drow moved over the landscape on dragons, cold-ones, stags & horses they took the cities first & then the smaller villages & outposts. As the Drow forces (accompanied by Goblins) moved into Ukraine from the coast other Drow emerged from tunnels all over Ukraine having travelled up from the Underdark. By sunrise Ukraine was almost secure & only the forces barracks remained. The Priestess Collective commanded by Kyrnill's 2nd daughter LiNeer utilised war-hydras who devoured the remaining defending troops! With Ukraine now firmly the territory of D.R.O.W. Matron Mother marched with her guard to the capital Kiev where the main underground city would be constructed. The Goblin troops that had assisted the invasion would remain giving LIAR a base from which to operate & facilitating the continued close alliance of Kyrnill & Overlord Draconous.
Elli was doing her usual, up in Treebeard's branches talking his tree ears off and munchin on her favorite roasted beechnuts when she heard the strangest sound she had ever heard. Climbing down just as fast as an elfen lass could without it appearing she was born in a barn and had no manners whatsoever, Elli jumped from branch to branch until she landed at the bottom of Treebeard's trunk only to come face to face with the strangest two legged creature she had ever seen in her life. And she would've plastered herself against Treebeard, going all Tree like too if'n she hadn't a'been laughin so hard at such a site as what stood right in front of her!

THE COCKATRICE
The Cockatrice have become a favored animal of the D.R.O.W. organisation. They can cause death with a single glance and will be an asset in war. Our tests on non-drow subjects have proven that anything catching sight of the lethal bird's eyes is turned instantly to stone. Their saliva is also as deadly and is strong enough to kill a war elephant. (Cockatrice saliva is now a trading commodity - and will be sold to allies).
For those who have yet to visit our beast breeding and training facilities the cockatrice has the head and feet of a cockerel and the tail of a large serpent. The cockatrice take many years to rear from eggs. Infact they have been bred for many centuries by our kind but from eggs the process takes 16 years! The cockerels egg must be 7 years old and laid on a full-moon. They they take nine years to hatch by a serpent or a toad.
There are VERY few ways to protect yourself from a cockatrice. One way is to carry something reflective like a mirror and turn the creatures gaze back on it. The other is to keep weasels or cockerels nearby.
A dozen cockatrice will be given to each brigade of the D.R.O.W. army. They require their eye guards to cover their eyes when in use by our trainers.
