Waking up alone on some faraway beach, wondering how you got there.
Anglo-American five-piece Morning Bride hail from Mass., U.S.A. (Amity & Christine) and English seaside towns (the boys), but found each other in the bosom of Mother Hackney, east London, where the band presently reside and create.
By late 2006, a settled line-up was in place, just in time to get intimate with each other and the songs, many of which would soon become Lea Valley Delta Blues, their critically-acclaimed debut album.
Summer 2009 saw Alexa return to her native Washington DC; Autumn brought the overwhelming new talents of violinist Christine into the fold.
Morning Bride’s distinctive sound is based around the uniquely beautiful voice of Amity and Mark’s personal, empathetic song-writing, both elements receiving unbounded praise in the national press.
The band's live shows in the U.K. and on the continent have inspired equally enthusiastic reviews, recently incorporating tours of Sweden, Italy, Norway, Denmark and Ireland, and a successful run of festival appearances in the summers of 2008 and 2009. Morning Bride are presently playing various dates around the U.K., and preparing to record their second album (to be released in 2010).

We’ve been asked to kick off Club Deviant’s first night on 30th Jan at The Purple Turtle in Camden. The name alone suggests that it should be a cool night and again, we’re asking for your support…a fiver to be exact – and for that you get to see 3 bands and entry to the club afterwards which is pretty damn good don’t you think?!
Anyway, please click on either of the links below Thank you so much (in advance) for your support…we really appreciate it!
Alternatively, please click on the flyer if you don’t have a paypal account and want to save some cash!
Hello and a Happy New Year to you. An eclectic bunch of songs new to the site this month. The frankly uncategorisable Icelandic band Storsveut Nix Noltes, the sardonic lyics (plus ukelele) of Dent May. some dark folk from The Deep Dark Woods and emerging US singer-songrwiter Israel Nash. Hope you like them all.
No sweat, well worth the wait, and the "Greetings" cd is brilliant. Gettin' a bit dull eh? Need to turn the clock back a few years - i've been told we had a pretty good time!
Mark, thank you so much for the t-shirt and cds!! Much appreciated. I shall wear it with pride. Hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year, all the best.
Hello. For our final update of 2008 we have a track from the wonderful Todd Snider, classic sounds from The Snakes, the spellbinding voice of Kate Campbell, the atmospheric Iguanas and some leftfield rock'n'roll from Slithering Beast. Merry Christmas/Solstice/whatever and a Happy New Year!
