  • Bio

For those who haven’t heard, our bassist, friend, and brother, Slinky (also known as John Orem) passed away on July 26th, 2009 at the age of 25. This tragic loss has been a crushing blow to our little family known as morningside. The question we’ve been asking ourselves is “What now?” We have decided to press on. Jay will take over bass guitar duties, and the role of lead singer will likely be shifted to Johnny. A name change may also be imminent, and is probably necessary as our sound will be forever changed. We will be permanently scarred by this loss, but we believe Slinky would have wanted us to keep rocking. Thanks to everyone for your support in this time of great sadness. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Its pretty funny when you can buy a couple boxes of girlscout cookies for $3 and then later that night sell them to drunk patrons for $5 a box. We'll get in the studio faster than I thought we would!
