Influences
I basically grew up in radio so there are many influences. My Father, Cody Anderson opened the doors in radio for me. I have worked with and interviewed the late/great Georgie Woods, Iyanla Vanzant, Johnnie Cochran, Mumia Abu Jamal, Don Cheadle, Senator Obama, President Clinton and so many more. Basically if you stand for something with strength and conviction then you have made an impact on my life.

I continue to be motivated by meaningful quotes and "front row people." I start my day by asking myself "what would I do if I knew I couldn't fail?" Those things should become the goals that we shoot for. Anything less is accepting mediocrity. I was turned on to this site by fellow talk show host "Al B" Now he's a part of the WURD lineup so it's ok to give him his props. I do talk radio, a little PR and marketing, some real estate investing and anything else that appears worth the effort. A 36 year old Philly native who went from G-Town Friends to GWU and back to Philly.

I will do my best to respond to every comment or add request so please help me spread the "WURD" to all of your friends. I have worked in all aspects of the radio business since I was a child. My father has a long history in Philadelphia radio and because of him I have cleaned up, cut grass, hosted, managed and owned radio stations. My latest venture, aside from some personal real estate investing, is trying to make history as an investor in a proposed casino in Philadelphia. We have a great site, strong financials an excellent entertainment and gaming partner and we would be only the 2nd minority owned and controlled casino company in the country. Check out the diagram in the "Pics" and Cross your fingers for us. Update... as many of you know, unfortunately, the fix was in and we lost out on our casino bid to a bunch of way to politically connected applicants. It was a great education both in the inside dealings of politics and high stakes business. I am happy to have been involved.....even if it cost me a bunch of money to learn the lesson :)

As you know, Avenging The Ancestors Coalition (ATAC) is one of the organizations that led the successful battle to force the federal government to commemorate the nine African descendants enslaved by President George Washington at America's first 'White House,' which was here in Philadelphia at the current site of the new Liberty Bell Center at Sixth and Market. Each year since 2002 on July 3 during its Black Independence Day events, ATAC has held protests and other demonstrations to demand and support a slavery commemoration. And we recently won! ATAC now invites you to attend its annual July 3 Black Independence Day event at 4:30 p.m. at Sixth and Market. The purpose this year is to celebrate the upcoming construction of the Slavery Commemoration project. For more information, please refer to the attached flyer. As part of that celebration, ATAC will present a re-enactment of the lives of those nine enslaved ancestors. In addition, ATAC has invited Mayor Michael Nutter, former Mayor John Street, Congressman Chaka Fattah, Congressman Bob Brady, and City Councilperson Blondell Reynolds Brown to speak in support of this absolutely historic Slavery Commemoration project.
