We are simply a rock band with the thought of experimenting with different sounds.
Being the five good friends and huge fans of music that we are, we simply started this band as a fun way of expressing just that. But we do believe that what we started here is growing and it would just be amazing if somehow we would be able to share all this with you.
Even though, the band was only formed slightly more than 4 years ago, we are only at the beginning stage of getting better to know each other. To us, having to play in a band is to be able to express out from our daily lives and to become better musicians by surrounding ourselves with the music that we feel most driven to. Each one of us, FAD - VOCALS & SCREAMS, FAZ - GUITARS & VOICE, ZAL - GUITARS & LICKS, ESA - BASS & TONES & ROM - DRUMS & SKINS , brings distinct unique elements & sound to the band.
We don't think we are any different or naturally gifted. We just simply having much fun by playing to our own brand of music which that would be the ultimate cause & reason for the band's name as "Utopia" means a perfect bliss and an ideal place to be in, hence that is what the band means to us all. While "Morning" defines the fresh sounds & the new beginnings whenever we get together.
Even though we are generally a rock band, our sound scape & styles are a blend mostly of Glam, Metal and Blues. As a result, different elements are combined in the writing process. It's extremely natural; never forced or contrived. Currently, most of our songs that we have written showcases our diversity in music as our originals varies from a 6 minute rock piece to a daring metal number.
We are currently concentrating on writing on more originals out and hopefully, we will be able record all of them soon enough.
REVIEWS FROM OUR PERFORMANCE @ BAYBEATS 2008 (31st August 2008)
"The NOKIA Powerhouse was set alight by a scorching performance by Morning Utopia. With definite shades of Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and other great metal bands, Morning Utopia brought the same intensity and guitar pyrotechnics."
- Hurrairah (www.esplanadeyouths.com)
"OMG. They’re SUPER LOUD. To give you an idea of just how loud they were - remember the scene in the 1st Jurassic Park where the T-Rex is approaching and the jello on the table starts wobbling? Something to that effect - I’m sure if I were holding jello while standing near the stage, the jello would have been wobbling too. (Although I have no idea why anyone would be holding jello while watching a hard rock band perform.) One song Morning Utopia performed was entitled ‘You’re Poison’ - it started quiet and then built up to a climax - a nice contrast between the different tempos and feel. I spotted a handful of people in the audience wearing t-shirts with their band name on them - so I’m sure they have a solid fan base..."

"...we decided to go check Morning Utopia out, basically what they were to me was somewhat of a mix between classic rock and metal. The music was really really good, it was more hardcore than indie...The lead vocalist had a really solid voice and could go up to a fevery pitch that never, I dare say, quivered, which is quite a feat considering that they were playing live. The riffs at the last song was made of fucking win, it was so aggressive and impactful."
