About Morquis Pleas - Free EPs on my page!

Morquis Pleas is the alter ego of Andrew Downie. Being in various bands playing pubs in his local area he noticed that the band scene wasn’t for him but he still wanted to perform music. So he set out to create music that showed his own personality rather than a style which resembled various members and influences.

In December 2006 whilst feeling quite flush, Andrew bought a Microkorg and started recording his ideas, within a few days the EP “And Then There Were One” was complete but the idea of Morquis Pleas didn’t seem to be there. It was soon after this that Andrew decided that this was something he wanted to build upon without pressure of anyone else, a personal adventure and experience. He started to look more into different styles and methods of creating the sounds he felt were something he could call his own. This adventure still goes on…but with more direction.

In December 2007, to mark a year of Morquis Pleas, “And Then He Said ‘I’ Was Evil” was compiled to some of the work Morquis Pleas had created throughout 2007. Morquis Pleas believes that his music should be free…so it is. All songs can be downloaded here
